if they die and get buried, they get eaten by insects and bacteria etc... why can't humans eat them? i would think twice about eating another person, but at the end of the day another person is just a pile of meat with a sentient brain. once they die, they're no longer sentient and therefore they're effectively a pile of nutrients waiting to be eaten.

At least the Koreans are open and honest about it. Meanwhile, factory slaughter of chickens and the abuse of cattle to make veal and the like goes completely under the radar. Nope. "Thousands of cats are also slaughtered for soups and so-called “health” tonics. They are thrown into boiling water while still alive," I got no issue with anyone eating dogs and cats, but the idea that they torture animals to have tastier meats and to enhance medical properties just make me feel uncomfortable.

Animal Rights? Is there such a universal thing? I don't think so. S Koreans can do whatever they want it's their culture, their conscious.

They deserve the same rights as all the other animals. I'm down with NO animals getting killed in a cruel and unusual fashion, but why is it that chickens, pigs, cows, fish, etc. are fine when we treat them cruelly, but not dogs?

Whoops. Should have said "household animals." Anyways, no one really likes cats so...
