It's not any of those

You didn't need money to spawn things. You would move your civ to the beacon, and it spawned a continual flow of those units (I'm not sure if different units spawned in different quantities [ie: one BC for every 5 rines] or if they spawned at the same rate).
To people suggesting things like Team Micro Arena: It's SIMILAR to this game, but not the same. You have a much longer and thinner battleground. The most important thing though is that you are spawning a continual flow of units, whereas in TMA you spawn X number of units, and must wait until they die before spawning more.

can you build? what units could you pick between in terms of originally spawning? (NOT HEROS/UPGRADED)

oh, wait, i know what it is you make combinations in the top right?

It's not evolves.... One tall thin battleground. Constant spawn of units of your choosing. You can change the units you spawn at any time you want.

You can't build anything. Everything that spawns is determined by the beacon your civ is on, or the specials you activate with DTs.
Originally spawning, I don't really remember most of them. All I remember is marines, siege tanks, battlecruisers. There were more than those though. As I said in a previous post, there are 4 specials I can remember. 1. A ton of terran units 2. A ton of zerg units (There were guardians involved I think) 3. A ton of protoss units (pretty sure there were arbiters) (This was the most expensive special. It needed the most DTs) 4. Turrets and bunkers spawn at intervals on the sides of the battleground.

I'm not sure what you mean by combinations. If you think you know what it is, tell me what map it is and I will go check it out.

I'm very curious as well .__. I've looked through (literally) hundreds of maps online, trying to find it.
EDIT: This was honestly one of my favourite UMS maps ever, and I dearly miss it.

nvm Are you sure it was scm and not scx?

I know that I played it on Starcraft Original and not Brood War. My experience was that there were quite different communities on bnet for sc and scbw. BW had this massive BGH scene, and different UMS maps, whereas there was a larger FMP presence on original starcraft, and there were some UMS maps which were really popular on original.
The map was definitely playable without BW.
EDIT: If what I'm saying isn't clear: I, at the time, pretty much never played bw.

Zeratul is available before brood war (campaign hero). You rescue him from that map where the sound clip goes "LIVE FOR THE SWARMMM".
