Lets tell the SPONSORS so we can hurt EVERYONE in the team. Sure we'll hurt the person who said OMG A BAD WORD but we'll also hurt the other SC2 team members, the other game players (Quantic has much more then SC2), the management, and everyone involved. But hey, he said A BAD WORD TO SOMEONE OMG! Its a good thing I'm such a fucking white knight and can go hurt as many people as I can in my selfrightous path of fucking idiocy. People make me sick. On a side note, it was incredibly, INCREDIBLY stupid for Steven to run his mouth like he does. But not even he deserved both the huge cut in income (TL delisting) and losing his team all at once. I hope you're happy.

And there's an argument for preserving that, at least IMO. The better point is...we are gamers, Destiny is a professional, and there needs to be a line there. The other thing we need to keep in mind is that he's a professional GAMER. Professional athletes aren't held to these standards and continue to make fools of themselves all the time. It's part of the draw. With that said, I understand sponsors not wanting to associate with such things. Other sports draw money from the actual events without having to rely solely on sponsors. Until we get to such a point, we'll have to endure all this fake outrage of sponsors dealing with issues they don't really care about. Keep in mind, I'm referring to sponsors here. I realize some take offense to what Destiny does/says.

but by all i heard what he says on his stream he is just to often over the top and his level of play is just not that good that he can make so many mistakes. he will life frome streaming anyway i think. and its the right decision to drop him from the team.

Do you people not live in the real world and have interactions? Cunts. Also can everyone stop talking about making e-sports more professional for it to go mainstream. It has nothing to do with it. People just think it's fucking weird people get paid to play games and that others watch it. (this includes gamers). You cunts just feel important for this first time in your life. Live in the real world please. User was banned for this post.

I've never watched him because I didn't find it too interesting but I knew full well what he was saying on stream and didn't care at all... it WARNS you. lol Anybody watch the movie Gran Torino and then get horribly offended?

It is not a good thing, but I fail to see how it is everyone else heres obligation and duty to continue chasing down Destiny when all he does is stream on a stream that you yourself chose to watch.

The vocal "we" just spoke its mind and as a result the clown Destiny got a reality check and realized he can't get away with saying anything he wants in order to protect his "individuality". If you are part of another vocal "we" then by all means, email the sponsors, tell them you like individuals using the word "gook" and they should sponsor more people like Destiny. Hell, you can even propose your own players saying "gook" to the sponsors if you think that will make the scene better and sponsors happy. you didn't answer my point, you don't realise how this sort of situation scares away interesting people from joining the scene

Live in the real world please. I do live in the real world. If someone called someone else a racial slur in the workplace (in this case the Starcraft 2 ladder) they would be fired on the spot.

I think that if I could rephrase or reword it to be politically correct, I think that it would reflect my opinion perfectly to be fairly honest.

And there's a difference between someone gaming on their own and a professional- and to those who claim he's just a streamer in private, that's what he's best known for, and he's representing a professional gaming team. If he isn't one, then he shouldn't be on one. I'm sure tons of people playing Basketball for fun use homophobic slurs, but if an NBA player did he would get his ass fined and maybe a suspension. If you're a public figure, you're held to a different standard .Simple as that. well i'm glad you think you and your friends are the scope of the situation. unfortunately for you there's a bigger world outside that DOES include nigger gook and chink in it. there are people out there that realize words are just words. honestly, i thought the whole sticks and stones thing was something people learned when they were like 5. the whole "protection of the public" argument really only comes into play when people don't have a choice if they hear those words or not. but people have a choice, and yet they still want to shit on destiny. this isn't basketball. it never will be. people trying to turn starcraft into something that will be shown on ESPN and watched by millions of people have their heads in the clouds. people need to realize that this is just a videogame, and that "pros" are just people really good at a videogame. people engage in this stuff to relax and unwind... the last thing we need is a tight-collar corporate mentality plaguing this community.

Except in your example Blizzard is the employer. This is more like the crowd at a concert rushing the stage and attacking the singer/band. Its not acceptable.

Sticks & Stones works in an ideal world, but we do not live in an ideal world. There is a reason that lawmakers are so tough on racism and part of that is that it will escalate very quickly.
