If I had gotten a supertalented PF the year before, I wouldn't pick another talented PF just because he was available, especially not if there's an almost as good player at a position we'd need more from.. (obviously, if the player is of a LBJ level, then you'd go for him) | ||

If you're in a position to draft guys like LBJ you don't have any good players anyway =D Like Rivers to NO when they already have EJ. Or Robinson to the Kings when they have DC (but I guess he can play centre). | ||

oden had great star potential as well. sadly we can't judge if he would have became as big of a star as KD because of injuries. i mean all the scouts were raving about oden like he was the next robinson. | ||

Good productive big men are hard to come by. If you think he have an all-star caliber big man you have to roll the dice. Though, it seems it more often than not ends up being a flop | ||

Like Bob said, Portland's medical staff had to have known that there were injury risks associated with Oden. Hell look what the Oden effect has had on Sullinger! (not that Sullinger was a top 3 lottery pick anyways). Anyways a better analogy (but much older one) would be Bowie over Jordan. Houston must be pissed right now...
