Stephano and NightEnd seems to be the two advancing from the first group. NightEnd will probably take darkforce in the second game and I (sadly) dont see Thorzain beating Stephano.

TB is right.
Stephano is 1-0 atm. Thorzain is 1-1. They have not played eachother yet. Regardless of who wins, one of them will have 2 wins after the match, and therefore both of them can't get 1-2, so no, DF can't move on, he's out.

Edit: To clarify, if he beats Nightend, it won't matter, however if he had won against either Thorzain or Stephano and then lost to Nightend, it could in theory have been a three-way-tie at the bottom with Nightend winning the group with 3-0.

Infestor/Broodlord/Corrupter doesn't really work when your terran opponent has an army composition that is
a) more mobile
b) directly counters it

Ultra/ling/bane/infestor would've been a much better composition on that map in my opinion. Thorzain's army was spread all over the place and ghosts as mobile defence really aren't that great when there's ultras and banelings in play

Can't go Ultra for that many ghosts.

My god, he didn't have 40 ghosts from the beginning dude.

Did not say he did, but when Broodlords came out Thorzain already had plenty, you think if he saw Ultra he would not have gone for that amount of ghosts ? With planetary's and tanks to back it up he countered Ultra easy.

If you think Ghosts are good vs Ultras you are wrong.

Have you ever watched a decent Terran play lategame TvZ? Snipe DECIMATES Ultras, its not even funny how quick those things die to a pack of ghosts.

Yes i would say i have seen around 150 lategame TvZ's, you are wrong.
11 snipers to kill one ultra, do you even realize how long this takes?
110 snipes to kill 10 ultras, takes like 10 seconds, and you cant do anything else.

Let me add this, if you think "that it's not even funny how quick" a few ghosts kill 1 Ultra you really dont know what you are talking about. We are talking about 1 big fight here.

So all in all very cost effective, anyway you calculate a single unit vs another single unit, luckily it does not work that way.
I understand what cloud means though, perhaps Ultra's were better if only for there meatshields and taking away energy from ghosts so ling/bling/investor can do the cleanup.

No, thats exactly what i didn't do.

Stephano wins all matches: 3-0
Thorzain losing to Stephano: 1-2
Nighend losing to Darkforce and Stephano: 1-2
DF winning against Nightend: 1-2

Maps would decide, but yeah, very unlikely for DF and with the 0-2 against Thorzain I think it´s over

Edit: No, he's out anyway, he can't go through on mapscore in the current situation. He's 1-5 atm, making a comeback this series would make 3-5 for him. If Thorzain/Nightend loses as much as possible the remaining games, then Thorzain will have 3-4 and Nightend will have 3-5. DF would then beat Nightend on head-to-head score, but not against Thorzain, neither on head-to-head or mapscore, so he is in fact out of the tournament period as of now. Even if he had won the first game against Nightend (0-1 atm), he would have 3-4, and still lose vs Thorzain on head-to head.

I think it was a terrible idea to let DF play all three matches in a row, he already played bad vs Tzain
