Sure he can't play in the LCS but he's been publicly coaching them for a year now so why exactly can't they just recognize him as a coach thus allowing him in? Currently the LCS doesn't officially recognize team coaches, however, coaches will be officially recognized for Worlds. Permabanned players like Incarnation are disqualified from being officially recognized as a coach. During the split, Incarnation was given access to the LCS studio as a team guest, not an official team member. As it relates to Worlds, we will be limiting Worlds stage, backstage, and practice room access to just official team members. Incarnation can attend Worlds just like any other player, but he will not have direct access to the team in the aforementioned areas. Don't know seems really silly to me. Well majority of what Riot does seems silly to me so whatever nothing new. | ||

It's literally a new rule they created for worlds which completely fucks SK over. Whatever I'm sure they will still fly him in and consult with him outside of Riot's "competetive" areas. | ||

It sounds like they basically didn't think of coaches as part of the team prior to worlds so they let him coach for a year. Now at worlds they realize they need some way to limit the personal in the "competitive" areas so they see that everyone has coaches/analysts now which forces them to "recognize" coaches as part of the team. Then someone at Riot says "wait we have this banned guy coaching a team for a year". Nick Allen goes shit we can't have a banned player recognized by Riot so they tell SK it's not going to happen even though it's been happening this whole time in their own studios. If this was the end point they shouldn't have let him do it in the first place. Now that they have they should follow through with letting him do it. I guess they all learnt from Microsoft that you should never say and do the same thing. | ||

According to Nick Allen post on reddit "LCS doesn't officially recognize team coaches", so every coach was team guest and never was official team member this split, right? Riot is not stupid they knew that he is coaching SK, so maybe they should contact SK before playoffs that if they qualify he is not allowed to be backstage at Worlds or at least immediately after playoffs, not 3 days before they go to Korea. Also they could use same rules for playoffs, so teams can adjust? Also some one posted this on reddit: From SK staff There was an official discussion between Riot and SK about Nicolaj and the privileges for him in January 2014. He was treated like a coach all the way throughout the entire season including Gamescom when coaching the team together with Lukas and myself backstage. Right now we don't know what level of access he would have at worlds and the decision was communicated our way on Sunday morning CEST and that is the status quo. | ||

They knew he has been coaching them since atleast january. They had an official discussion about it according to SK and they allowed it for 2 years during LCS. Then they give a notice 9 months later and after the team qualified? Fuck that shit. | ||
