Well, apparently Magus said on reddit that they think that teams have to face each other more than once in a split, so either we will have no bo2's and something like 18 bo1s for each team (i don't think that 27 is way less than 28) or we're going to get bo2's but it's unlikely it seems.

But split in general should stay around 3 months, i guess? 9 weeks + 3 for playoffs.
Thank God though that no more Superweeks, this shit was atrocious.

Challenger scene is going to be "big fish in little pond" style most likely, nothing good. Still, can't wait for Riot to announce that LCS is going to have European and North American conferences with mutual playoffs.

I really hope it's not true that WeiXiao is retiring. CaoMei is kind of past his prime but WeiXiao is still a monster and a legend. =(

Oh god please no.
It won't happen anyway, bacially they're going to be Millenium n°2, not doing anything besides winning small lans.

This team is a fucking joke.

SC2 has way bigger fundamental issues. You can't have a scene if no one plays your game. LoL doesn't have that so really shouldn't compare the two.

It's problem only for hardcore region fanboys, not for competition.

Well I always viewed Coast mid and top as their weakness. Makes sense, although it really sucks for those 2 after they have brought the team so far.

I'm interested to see how that goes for Coast. Will they be able to communicate effectively enough for them to play well as a team? Or does their management think they can get through by "OGN Korean Challenger Mechanics"?

World elite gets Koreans - Misses worlds
World elite academy gets Koreans - Bottom two of LPL
CLG gets Korean - In relegations
EG gets Korean - Bottom two (albeit with 3 much potential)
Keyd/Pain get Koreans - Both miss BR regional finals

Yeah I don't get this trend, this isn't SC2 where you can recruit someone like sacsri and win a dreamhack they aren't a magical solution only one team so far has benefited from the Korean imports and that's starhorn even then starhorn aren't that good and are only better because anything is better than spring split royal (maybe EG as well, we'll see next split), rip neo-coast here comes the shitstomps with your Koreans (who spoiler alert are going to be bottom of NLB barrel trash). At least curse academy will get in now so saint comeback hype.

Starhorn has one legit Korean and one bad Korean, that's not how it supposed to be.

Let's face the reality - only thing you have to import are Korean coaches, importing players doesn't work in teamgames, too much barriers.
Hope Coast gets destroyed to understand it.

Going with CLG-Coast now, EG-CA and coL-T8.

At least Lustboy is a proven talent in a team environment, as well as Helios (who definitely improved EG). If these guys are actually just Challenger Koreans and Coast isn't being coy with us, we have no idea how they'd perform in a real team environment, especially when they need to build synergy with a 17 year old kid from Denmark.

Also, I'm sad Weixiao is retiring.
