DEAL WITH IT. Welcome to the real world, where you can't be an arrogant unlikeable douchebag prick and expect any sympathy or favors. Riot made a game, and Riot runs its pro scene the way it sees fit. It does a pretty damn good job of it, which is why we all keep watching it. But it's their rules, and they have given him multiple repeated warnings to shape up.

They both crossed the line too much times. Damn I was pretty close to the reality without even knowing it lol. Nukeduck has a bit more imagination than I thought, it seems. I hope we can close the debate on this, there's just no way you can support players acting like this, IMO he should be glad he's only banned for 6month.

While personally I don't like the idea of bans for offensive language at all (I just think the mute button is enough), it's hard to argue that Nuke and Mithy made their games unpleasant for other players, so a well deserved ban. Since Riot also hosts some tournaments, it's reasonable that they also wouldn't allow these players to participate in them. My problem is that since Riot effectively monopolized the professional tournament scene, they have complete control over the pro-player careers. If it was Dota2, NiP wouldn't be able to participate in one International. But apart from that, it would be up to multiple organizers to decide each whether they also ban these players or allow them to compete despite Valve's ban (at least that's what I assume). So not being able to participate in the biggest tournament would be a big blow, but not the end of the world. Right now, I wouldn't be suprised if this was the last we saw of nukeduck (not to say he definitely will disappear, but it seems possible). He didn't eloboost, he didn't ddos, he just wrote mean things on the internet - I personally wouldn't give him this kind of punishment for something like that. They made their money playing league, they have to put up with the consequences of doing so. What would have happened if they were DotA2 players doesn't matter, because they aren't. You don't see people up in arms at NHL fights because the consequences would be a lot worse if they were in the NBA. You are governed by the rules and body you play under.

You say he deserves the ban but Riot has too much control. So because of Riot's control, you're now against the ban? That's just asinine. Nuke deserved to be banned for being a dick. Why is being a prick a condoned offense? He had plenty of warnings and should probably realize that the real world isn't forgiving when you randomly run your mouth. Welcome to how things are when you step out from behind your monitor. So in summation, nuke got what he deserved (he has ample opportunities not to be a rager) and Riot's control of the League scene is probably too much and borderline detrimental. I still think Riot still does more good than bad.

It's like that Ed Harris quote in Pain & Gain: "The only thing they weren't found guilty of was the one thing they were most guilty of: being dumb stupid fucks." Like what the fuck did Nuke think would happen? And what kind of warning would riot needs to give him? Telling him that he, in fact, can't tell people they're nigger faggots and that he will gas them like the holocaust on public domain? And to the guy that was arguing there's no single body that should determine your eligibility at doing a job: It's called a boss. When you act like a dumb shit at your job, you get fired. It's just like real life. By the way, if it goes on your portfolio that you got fired for discrimination and whatnot, good luck finding a satisfactory job in the foreseeable future lol.

The Twitch move is kind of effy for me since despite all the shadyness the Azubu stream worked better for me in terms of quality and general stability, we'll see how i goes

While I agree with you I don't think the whole real world argument holds much weight since people seem to be able to be arrogant douchebags and survive just find. Many even get liked for being arrogant douchebags. It's a pretty mixed message in the real world honestly.

They gain money by increasing leagues playerbase more or less and the main thing that is keeping people out of the game is the community tbh. Atm it´s just very masochistic to pick up LoL alone without any friends to play with who show you the basics, because you will get flamed every game and some people definitly won´t feel like touching this game again after having such a rough start. So if the pro-role-model factor influences the typical bronze semitroll w/e to flame more, it indirectly influences new players to not pick up the game. source that pro behaviour influences your own: I never insulted anyone in this game again after i joined the big-dick-club and recieved my personal godbless because i aspire to be more like the god that is known as Imaqtpie

Right, not to mention Nuke was fined $500 and put on restricted chat. Even when he had limited chat he was using it to be a racist asshat. If you do that with your career on the line you're an idiot who doesn't deserve to have one. He was fined and warned by his employer and continued to behave poorly, if this were any other job nobody would have any pity for him at all.

With the OMG support role being open sicca has mentioned it's possible that he will return to playing. OMG is also looking at a solo queue streamer called Rhythmn for that role. Rest in pepperonis pomelo?

I can't believe that he will be just thrown away without getting offers from the side, even if he plays only Syndra legitimately good. But as personal Cool's fan, can't be happier lol. <3
