for the people citing the fact that tl just added a new protoss player to the lineup in liquid'hero as evidence that they are replacing huk, " We have been working with oGs on acquiring HerO for quite a while now. The idea first came to us about four to five months ago."
-from hero -> liquid anouncement
so they have been trying to add him for a LONG time, its not just some replacement they dreamt up in the last month or two.
They're literally going to "release the gracken" Idra to retire from sc2 and go on with his studies but going out with one last showmatch. Idra signed with EG in september last year allegedly for a salary of similar scale to grubby.

Idra, Huk, Sen, White-ra, Select, Naniwa, Jinro, Thorzain, Major, Ret, Sheth... All living in one team house as well.
Although it seems highly unlikely, this is what I'm rooting for.
you included major in that list? really?
He has been pretty infamous for swapping teams, however I think his contract with SixJax would really prevent that. Leave the thread for a couple of hours, and now people are thinking he is involved. EG is hurting peoples brains.
The reason he came up is that the third audio clip released like two hours ago has audio from the Spanish version of SC2, making people think that a Spanish-speaking player is involved; the audio clip says "addon complete," so people think it's a terran. Hence, Spanish-speaking terran, Major or Lucifron (or whatever his name is, sorry).

Yea probably wasn't the best choice. I think someone like Morrow would make more sense. Then again, I doubt all of these players would consider moving to Korea. And Major has shown interest in moving there from what I hear. Besides, I can't think of a better terran than Major other than the ones I listed.

i think the main reason people think he's involved is the mp3 clip with talk about terran and spanish terran noises. its not just some massive ring of circular logic.

this is what we need if foreigners are to compete with koreans in international tournaments, its unlikely, but it would change foreigner sc2 big time i reckon
Maybe this thing isn't mainly EG related. Maybe many different teams had an auction on who gets this on their site? So maybe this will affect all of sc2?

lucifron will be at the university again next year, stop involving him.

Best part about that is there is no Incontrol in there to screw things up.

HuK is possibly joining Evil Geniuses, shit just got real.
About fifteen people, at least, have done this joke already in this thread. You're not original nor funny.
So, it worked?
Stop acting dumb.
On topic, do we really need this announcement hype every time?
People are clearly having fun with this and not getting too invested in their theories (most of us anyway). Why are you trying to spoil the fun?
Exactly. Everyone is just having fun throwing stuff out. He is the type of person that won't get a joke when everyone is laughing, then he feigns laughter and everyone stops laughing cause everyone can tell it is fake.
The after the countdown, the thousands of people tune in. They open a live stream and just run commercials for a few mins making cash. Then turn it off and the page says "This is not for Publicity"
