I can't believe this still is needed but religious and gun control side discussions will be met with harsh penalties from page 52 and onwards.

Especially for a country that has not been attacked by terrorism before(afaik?). I do not disagree I was pointing out that AQ thinks that way - but i don;t think you should compare americans to other countries. They are fiercely patriotic due to their school system. I don;t know many other countries quite like that - UK isnt ![]() What i really think is that there are a large number of people in these groups that want to do a near miss ... so they show that they could of done something much much worse but look how humane we are - we let everyone go before we blew it up. That and they ahve to live with the guilt for the rest of their lives ... so by doign that they can justify themselves as doing a kindness . Its a really wierd twisted psychology that lets them be a moral hero despite knowing that really they have just performed an act that is utterly abhorrent. Its like the line from fight club 'He will live every day of his life like its a gift'

Islam is a political ideology, the hadiths tell you exactly what to do, when to do your prayers, with which hand you have to eat, wipe your ass etc... Often time the text refers to the "ummah" like a political party. Islamism is a recent word invented by the West to distinguish which Muslims compromise their interests and/or attack them. Muslim clerics never refer to it because they know that the word makes no-sense. All people strictly fallowing the verses Islam are islamists to our western standards, since they believe in either murdering or puting to jail gays, adulterous people and those mocking Islam, even though the vast majority of islamists aren't terrorists (randomly killing citizens). I know you might disagree because you know a cool muslim guy, but this guy is not a Muslim, I mean having arabic origins, not eating pork and doing the Ramadan doesn't make you a muslim. It's more than that.

It's painful to see how people abandon all civility when these kinds of things happen ![]() I can imagine a very long list of possible responses to the news that violent extremists have tried once again to blow people up with a bomb. "Civility" is actually near the bottom of that list. It's understandable that people will respond to murderous savages with anger, and I think they should be allowed to express it.

but honestly, do not rage at the "fucking muslims". It's not "the muslims", it's "a terrorist group that is not at all a representation of the muslim people". When someone says to blow em all to hell... that just makes me angry. You do realise you're talking about millions of people right? Imagine if a Western person performed a terrorist attack in a country in the middle east, you would think it's ridiculous for muslim people to cry out "Those fucking christians should all be executed!", right? Well that's some of what I'm reading right now. Please just remain civil and think before you post anything.
