From what ive gathered huk lived in america for 95%+ of his life and was born in america. However Huk has a canadian father and because men count three times as much as women that means huk is at least 75% canadian because the canadian he gets from his father counts 3 times as much as the american he gets from his mother. Should huk be considered canadian because he has canadian blood or should living most of your life in america count you as an american.
Its a tough issue to pick a side on. Huk is some kind of canadian / american hybrid creation that will soon be crushing the GSL in my humble opinion.
Now also im wondering, the code S round of 32 has started right.... is huk playing in that?? is huk playing in this season of code S?
He's american. I'm claiming in him in the name of the U.S. Huk has no choice in this matter. /Discussion. We have selecT, Idra, and now a protoss in Huk.
Huk was born in USA, moved to Canada with his dad and by proxy of his father being a citizen gained Canadian citizenship while still holding his American citizenship. Huk holds dual citizenship so he's both American/Canadian.
Hm, i think he is either swedish or german, since his biggest titles (DH and HSC) were won there. So for starcraftpurposes you can say, that for sure those countries defined him most. Just to throw in a few more nationalities....

You can't be "half" American or Canadian. You're either a citizen of those countries or you aren't. HuK is a citizen of both, so he's American and Canadian.
He has dual citizenship with USA and Canada. he said on TL Attack if they could figure out how to put a flag graphic up that was Half USA and Half Canada he would have it.

Yes, he has dual citizenship - he is both American and Canadian. He said if they had a flag that was half and half, he would use that.
HuK is Canadian his father is Canadian. Americans started claiming he was American when he won DreamHack because they wanted to have a Champion represent them. Though Canadians are American fyi.
He is both, both with dual-citizenship and self-identified as Canadian-American. He is also a foreigner in Starcraft2, not a Korean, but why bother elaborating when substantive and reasoned posts made about this will (and already have been) just be ignored by more people who fail to read prior posts/threads ._.

So you're agreeing that he's American right?
I think better question to have is, "Is he considered Korean when he competes in foreign tournament?" "Is he considered foreigner when he competes in GSL?"

That's soooo not true...
I was born in San Bernardino and stayed there a whooping 3 months that I can't even remember and I lived in Montreal, Qc, Canada for 99.9% of my life. Eventho I have both citizenship if you ask me if I'm canadian or american... i'll tell you that I'm canadian with advantage! Hell my main language isn't even english even if I was born of an English mother!
I'm fairly sure he has a canadian passport, so that is just about it, he is canadian. Though he has been living in korea for so long now that he will turn into a korrean anyway, judging by his recent performance he already is half korrean anyways.

He's a korean when he wins. He's a foreigner when he loses. That way he can be used as a stick to beat the foreigner community with in LR threads no matter what!
Sorry if this is just another european bashing on USA comment, but american means someone from the continent called America which includes both Canada and USA.

A person from Canada is in fact also an american.
I guess since you are from denmark you are also swedish.
He is whatever the individual person thinks he is. He might be Canadian to some and American to some, nationallity is in the eye of the beholder and does not acually meen anything. I would say he's Canadian though because thats what i've heard he is.
