Sorry he hasn't played up to your expectations. EDIT: He also had to cancel his appearance on ITG and EGMC this week because of his illness. Thanks mate! Wish Painuser the best, hopefully he gets better soon. Pity about the games.

Sorry he hasn't played up to your expectations. Not sure him playing badly is the point, but that he basically quit a professional league. That being said this thread is pointless. You can be upset about whatever you want, but using TL to form a witch hunt against one guy who plays Starcraft for a living is overboard, if not a little crazy. Leave the policing to NASL, its their tournament. And realize professional Starcraft players are not United States congressman.

Well, coming from someone who is an avid NASL watcher I'd say that this was the straw that broke the camel's back. People in the LR threads were complaining about him not showing up.

Seriously though, even if he wasn't sick, it's his spot in the league and his decision alone to do what he wants with it. p.s. Hope he gets better soon ![]()

Artosis is apparently notifying NASL of the forfeits, it does make it a little disappointing however he isn't wasting anyone's time. Except those who watch the NASL only to find out it's going to be a W.O. Naniwa is also good for the community because he was at least helping people before hand, and playing his heart out. The guy is a fighter and a warrior and is light years ahead mentally compared to PainUser. I can't people have the audacity to defend PainUser. I highly doubt it's because of personal problems, he seems to have no compunction in exposing himself on Inside the Game.

I really hate it when people say that the players are taking NASL as a joke. You can say that and it may be true for some players, however for teh ones taht take it seriously and do well, they are the ones that are going to win the the enormous amount of prize money which for 1st to 4rd place is more than a Code S GSL championship. So yes it is a big tournament equivalent to Code S ( maybe not in terms of overall player skill wise) and the players that are doing well are going to win big - and take home a lot of prize money and respect. As for painuser- he should have at least informed them that he was quitting/ not showing up, especially because boxer lives in Korea and so he had to stay awake all night. I hope he does not get invited to any more tournaments.

If the people who organize tournaments and the players want to see PainUser's actions in the NASL as potentially damaging, then they can do so and act upon it. It isn't as if they don't know about it. They don't need to take any advice from someone like you if they don't want to. The real disgrace isn't that the players of the scene don't show up to their matches, it is that the fans feel self-entitled enough to call for the heads of key members of the community just because they didn't get what they want.

Plus he's right about DTs and Banshees so i can never hate on the guy. *high fives PainUser* How is it a problem with the nasl exactly? Their admins can mediate to set up a time but after that it's on the players unless there was a serious internal miscommunication. And I don't think one can assume this was the case. The fact that boxer showed despite having to play at much more awkward times than NA players makes your claim even more ridiculous.

Overall though I think NASL season 1 has been great and I'm really looking forward to season 2. I think they'll hammer this sort of thing out for next season.

Why didn't he communicate that he couldn't play before. He was fine casting the IPL etc. Based on just leaving without saying a word in everything he has been in, not showing any leadership when LG gaming disbanded, you really have to question whether he is telling the truth in regards to his sickness.

Painuser should send a proper apology in the form of a card to boxer, who had to stay up just to play.

Some players who are in a losing position and cannot advance are put into a weird spot; they really don't have an incentive to play their games. On the other-hand NASL puts out their broadcast schedule really far in advance and that creates expectations inside the community. There probably isn't a perfect solution to this issue. Why do these people have the integrity to play out till the end?

It's obvious you may be new here. It's LG, LZGamer is a player. He missed a match, if there was a thread every time someone missed a match like this in any tournament ever, oh god. He's obviously focusing his time in other directions and was out of the NASL running. It would have been cool to see him play but he is doing a lot of other big things for Starcraft II so I think that missed game can be excused....

While I agree, you have to take into account that IF artosis was really dedicated to the league he could have asked tasteless, wolf, gom to use the house, a game cafe (blanking on the actual name) or almost any korean team to borrow a computer or even just internet access for 1-2 hours a week to play his match and be done. I'm not trying to bash on him as I agree that he was more responsible about it, I think its relatively evident he didn't put much effort into finding a solution. But, as other said above NASL has said action will be taken, z33k has run a few leagues similar to NASL that has a group stage and it was pretty common anyone who started 0-1 or 0-2 would just give up on the rest of the season, its hard to keep motivated when your playoff hopes, or even the hope to stay in the league at all are gone. Edit: I also acknowledge as there has been no statement from artosis, we don't know if he tried all these things. It just seems like SOMEONE would have been willing to help seeing has how even Rainbow has to play the same day.
