Awesome dude, thanks for the pack need to work on my terran, saw you on ret/idra's stream a few times :>

too bad incontrol decided to derail the thread since he feels the need to defend himself when someone posts a rep of him losing (even though he does the same thing)

It wasn't because he lost the game, it was because the games which he lost was only 9 minutes and wasn't a very good game...

The logic follows that LiquidWater first priority wasn't to post good games, just games where he beats famous people.

My first priority was to post interesting games for either entertainment, or learning value. I accomplished this by posting games that A.) Would be interesting because of the participants, and B.) by posting games where I did a specific strat and it succeeded, so people could either learn from the build at a terrans perspective, or how to defend them.

However, there's a flaw there. GSL, NASL and IPL all have big names, they don't produce entertaining games or interesting just because of the names. See IdrA vs fenix in IPL for example or check the polls of all the recent days of the GSL and see if all have a resounding "yes" in the recommended games option. No offense, but some of the replays there just remind many of TSL_Rains and Bitbybitprime.WE, and well, you tell me if they are the most entertaining players in an overall community consensus. I'm sorry but more than half of the games weren't interesting, at all.

But you sounding so convinced that those games were entertaining and the fact you didn't think of a fourth option in the poll like "None seemed that good, interesting or w/e" reinforces that belief, which lead people like Incontrol and some others to a seemingly accurate perception you did this just to brag about beating some of the names we see in the aforeimented leagues.

I agree terrans may benefit from these somewhat refined build orders and strategies, but for any mid diamond and lower player it'll still come down to what both Artosis and Day[9] have already said plenty of times, you either overreact to an all-in or you lose. The refinement of the timings is something you don't see in neither player at this level, not very often at least.

I would re-check that "accomplished" if I were you, y'know, just so you don't come off as a dick who thinks his games are entertaining per se and not because the community gives you that answer.

Just a real quick comment on this wall of text. A.) Me not putting in a negative poll for my thread is intuitive, it doesn't prove anything at all. B.) A good portion of these players have fans, and I enjoy watching games of my "Heroes" to see how they react to certain situations, whether they're interesting or not to every person in the world is irrelevant.

Thank you for proving my point.

Cheers!

I think its crazy how harsh this thread has been. Even if he posted the replays just to get his name out there its not like that's so terrible. He didn't come here talking a bunch of shit, it's just a replay pack with notable players.

I can attest to how good his TvZ all-ins are, I don't think I've taken a single game off of them, and I certainly don't look forward to all of the other Ts in ladder taking the 2port build and using it against me.. Anyhow, pretty nice rep pack, glad to see I'm not in the list, and personally I think the short games are better than 20+ min games just because you get to see the build being executed perfectly rather than having to adapt to the situation. Like the recent Haypro pack had a good mix of long and short games as well. I wish there was a way to not show names in replays so that no one has to have the "shame" of losing when people post things like that, because I understand how Incontrol feels but I also recognize the contribution these replays give to the community of T players. It's a double edged sword t.t, maybe asking permission would be a more reasonable alternative to not posting at all.
Have you considered the MMO-Champion forum? You are just as irrational and delusional with the right portion of nostalgic populism. By the way: The old Brood War was absolutely unplayable

Everyone knows it sucks to lose, but do you think Jaedong is like, "Oh no, they are going to show me losing!" when he's playing for thousands to see?

Losing is a fact of the game, and the fact that the main faces in the foreign scene are always so butthurt about losing (inc, art, idra) is really sad. You'd think after 11 years these kids would have learned to man up.

I'm sure team coaches forbid their players from whining/getting into arguments on forums. There's no post game interview where the losing player is like, "he only beat me because he used cheesy allins. i'm actually the better player that deserved to win". The only result of such arguments is a poor perception of the complainer. There's nothing to be gained.

hmm.

I've played vs liquid a number of times, although some might consider him cheesy. I think TvZ requires a level of unorthodox play, considering against a regular 2 base terran will allow me to get to 80 drones in 11 minutes where as vs liquid he'll keep me guessing cause I know hes a bastard.

Incontrol defending himself is laughable being that the 4 games I've played against him have been cannons and 4gates. Keep on trucking Geoff
