It's sort of depressing that savior fpvods, especially ones as awesome as posted here http://www.youtube.com/user/unbeee only have a few hundred views oh how bw has fallen.

savior is probably the same way oov, nada, and boxer were when they were benchwarming in brood war

most of them are lamenting two things:
1. that savior is being an douche and they think he's not even sorry for what he did to esports by being in the scandal.
2. that esports fans are giving him so much attention even now (and even more than some current players).
|
ok, since i have some time i'll translate them.
1. themarine (split into three tweets) I was very shocked during a broadcast today. I went into one of the famous esports websites (either fomos or des, he doesn't specify) to see what reactions to the broadcast were like, but i saw that articles about savior were getting more hits and replies than the broadcast. they were even calling him ma-bonjwa. i am going home right now, and i've been thinking about this and i've feel worse and worse. all people need to have some conscience. i don't know what he's thinking, coming back so quickly to the scene that he had a very bad effect on. it's somewhat sad. how should i take this? it's even sadder that people are giving him this attention. i wonder who gave savior the idea to do this in the first place? is the esports scene viewed so lightly? this is a sad reality.
2. zergman, afreeca BJ i will be blacklisting and banning anyone who mentions savior in my channel. i am having doubts over doing this job (BJing) now that a criminal is doing the same job as me i do not feel very good. i will be either delaying or cancelling today's broadcast. thank you.
3. jung sorim, caster @ themarine: i'm also very stressed out over this. it feels like he's laughing at the tears i shed when he made his apology. why do i have to read about this? how did this happen? please, everyone, i beg you not to give this guy any attention.
4. xellos when looking at the recent k-league fixing scandal, you can see how serious this matter is... but why are esports fans so forgiving? this is very sad.
5. shim hyun, caster does he not know what he's done? even if he was being quiet and careful it would still not redeem him, yet he's trying to make money on afreeca? are you even human? did you run out of money to pay the credit card bills for your luxury shopping? *sigh* even dogs are above you. and who are those retards who are watching his broadcasts?
6. coach han is a lack of money making him a loser? or did he just lose all of his common sense? maybe i should buy him a balloon (star) too...

We really need a stalker for savior

I think it is a bit harsh to call savior's followers retarded XD
And... I'm giving my best with stalking savior *lol* But I have to say he is really the hardest to contact -.-"""

Thanks for the tweet translations! Honestly I find it amazing and I didn't really have that much of a grasp of how seriously Koreans take E-sports. Even though those tweets were very negative it's quite nice actually fuck yeah go E-sports.

SC2 didn't do nearly as much damage to BW as the match-fixing scandal. The reason BW started to decline was because Savior and his other match-fixers were expelled from the scene (IMO was the right choice). Savior and the twins had incredible amount of fans, and when they were exiled most people were disappointed and stopped watching. Also, the match-fixing caused changes to the BW scene by Kespa that was not necessarily helpful to the scene. Not to mention such crimes degraded the competition and made others look less upon the BW scene.
SC2 wasn't the big hit that people imagined it would be, the SC2 scene is still MUCH smaller and less popular in Korea than BW.

The match-fixing scandal gave the professional gaming industry a lot of bad press at a time when there were already many media reports about the hazards of gaming addiction. Very detrimental when you're trying to attract new sponsors for tournaments and teams.

Pretty sad reading those tweets. Loved Savior the player and person before he did that shit. Xellos must truly feel betrayed about what he did, especially after he sacrificed so much for CJ.

Well he nearly did, having a long streak and high winrate, and came close to starleague success. When Savior fights hard, you know he is an imminent danger, the dark horse who cannot be ignored.

The worst thing about Savior is that when the rumors about match-fixing first came up, he lied to everyone. His coach, who trusted him so much and denied his match-fixing until Savior confessed, his fans, his teammates, and all the people that work for the BW scene. Betrayed the trust that every put on him.
