These seem like really casual questions considering her condition, but then again, aren't they questions that, for the most part, are important aspects in her life? Sucks to be her, not that it's any of my god damned business.

I think I remember hearing an interview with her on NPR. She did actually seem pretty happy with her life.

Yeah, just because you're a human being doesn't mean people can't dislike looking at you. That's just having bad expectations.

Yeah, just because you're a human being doesn't mean people can't dislike looking at you. That's just having bad expectations. You're talking about hiding a person's face because you don't like it. If her physical appearance isn't safe for work then I wonder how she copes with walking around in public.

Agreed. A lot of people aren't the best looking, my father, for instance, isn't the best looking man in the world.
To say you lost vision after seeing her? You're exaggerating more than to just say that he should add spoilers or that she is not attractive looking.
It's clear your intent was more than that.

I kind of feel sorry for her. I mean I couldn't just walk down the street if I looked like that. I'm hope that doesn't seem crude or rude though. But yeah. A hell of a lot more courage than I have.
And seriously? Some of you guys. This is the internet. There's a HELL of a lot worse things than an image of someone that has a clinical disease on it. Just because you don't like the way she looks doesn't mean it should be censored. Go to encyclopedia dramatica then come back. It'll pop your cherry.

There's all sorts of fucked up disorders out there that really make you question the existence of a God:
+ Show Spoiler +
Noonan syndrome is a genetic disorder characterised by short stature, heart defects, a slightly different facial appearance, and problems with the lymphatic system, according to Otago University Professor of Paediatric genetics Dr Stephen Robertson. Intellectual performance is usually unaffected, he says. The condition can be passed genetically through family members or occur randomly through a faulty gene.
Noonan syndrome is thought to be widely underdiagnosed, so many people could have it and be completely unaware, he says.
It is thought it could occur to different degrees in as many as one in every 1000 people.

I would give dat bitch an entire Creatine supplemental container a day. > Probably would solve the majority of her problems...that and very high prescription dose of vitamin B tablets.
Has she ever had a period? If no, I could see this story being realistic. If yes, she is lucky to be alive and not in a coma.

Don't breasts, of those size, contain a fair amount of fat in them? They just seem really disproportional to the rest of her body, given her condition.
But anyways, I remember reading about her a few years ago in my bioethics class. Was pretty heartbreaking then and it is now.

It's real. I went to Texas State and I've seen her walking around campus. Go down the page on the link and you'll see her and friends wearing our school's shirts.

Please someone explain how she sleeps.

Kids these days... no respect. Respect for who, the news outlet or the forum member who posted her picture here for public viewing and consideration? She is ugly, let there be no lie about it. Though it's really nobody's concern but hers what she looks like, if you bloody ask somebody about it what kind of response do you expect?

Tis true my friend, have seen it many times on TV.

It's funny - usually it's the internet that's less censored... People see her IRL every day and there's not a damn thing they can do about it because it's her human right to - you know - exist.
And now childish little kids come on forums and say that it's too much for them? Give me a break. If we had to hide ugly people we'd have to shut down all the "post your picture" and "post a picture of you and your girlfriend" threads on every forum ever.

I'd hit that.

Sucks that because she has to eat every 15 mins, she probably wont be able to go under surgergy to put in a central line = total parental nutrition. because surgery requires nothing by mouth for ateast 8 hours, she wouldnt be able to do so. Couldnt put a g tube in either. that sucks.

k, mod. o wait.
asking for a spoiler is not beyond the bounds of decency. It's not like i'm directly criticizing this girl. There's all sorts of crazy ailments out there with fucked up images (like the mannequin baby one), and I don't want to have to run into them just by clicking on a TL thread.
why don't you take your well-informed knowledge of posting decency that you've acquired through all 79 posts of yours and teach others to be like you.
