Reading comprehension is usually a good skill to have. I'm not talking purely about balance, I'm saying the picture is potentially miss leading due to the lack of provided information. I could come in here with a screen shot of 100 SCVs vs 20 Probes, with the probes mining a higher income, and add no extra evidence. It would have exactly the same merit as the picture in the OP. How many patches were each mining from? Were they even all mining? Had some probes JUST been killed off? Were they long distance mining? You miss understood the entire point of the post. I think above someone posted the toss max income at 1200ish? well 3 mules return 810-900 mins over their lifetime of 1min(?) so thats 900 max income to 1200 max income, 24+ probes vs 3 mules in a more direct comparison.
MULEs are 90 seconds, and you can't get up to 900 anymore since they patched Mineral Boosting. 3 MULEs will net 720-810 depending on the distance between the mineral patch and the CC. The per-minute value of 3 MULEs is therefor 480-540 m/min

Mules ARE way more forgiving than larva inject, but you have to remember that race mechanics aren't the same yadayada. I personally don't agree with it, but I'm going to play angels advocate and say that they have mules because Zerg and Protoss can get workers out REALLY fast with Chrono and larvae inject hatching.

Well, the Mule mechanic is the only one that actually gives you minerals for free. The others you have to spend to get. But sure... it is a balanced mechanic.
