Why does everyone think piggybacking onto TL and leeching viewers/fans is somehow expanding esports? Can anyone explain to me how esports grows or benefits from that? Because to me it just looks like it satisfies the megalomaniac need to be an internet celebrity by particularly untalented individuals as Idra said while doing the least work possible.
You are not an esports martyr sacrificing your blood and sweat to help foster something greater than yourself. You are just another clown looking to latch onto something that is already established.
Here's a tip: The internet does not begin or end with Teamliquid. if you want to grow esports, if you want your own fans, look elsewhere. HD and Husky built their own fanbase, and only a small part of that actually came from Teamliquid.
Whatever your true agenda is you are going about it completely wrong.

To be honest, featured or not doesn't matter. I've asked to be featured a few times, I stopped asking/caring because ultimately if your stream is good and you provide good content, why does whether you are featured or not matter?

I obviously ment BigT here and not Chill.

You prob shouldn't let your personal opinion decide who gets featured or not. Your not here to play favorites to be honest, your hear to expand E-sports and to help others enjoy it as well. You let your personal opinion decide weather or not BigT is featured or not. In my opion BigT has Great stream quality(one of the best), Awesome commentary, Great game play(talks about why or why he didn't do something, and discusses his BO) this i never see with half the featured streamer, and Bigt is one of the few that will sit and talk with the viewers. Heck none of the featured streamers talk with their viewers as much as BigT does(excluding Day9).
But again this is my opinion and shouldn't lead to him being featured.
What you should look at is Does BigT bring in viewers? Which he does, and i have notice that BigT has more viewers then most of the featured streamers that you have made featured. This is about expanding E-sports not deciding who is your best friend and who you do not like personally.
But again this is just me talking and hoping E-sports get big in NA. But it gets hard when people let their personal opinion speak for them. if esports is gonna get big its not gonna be because of people like bigt Every little bit helps but lets keep this thread on topic I am PM him and we are debating it there. And it isn't going to get big with people like idra either.See what i did there?
Dont know under what rock you live my friend but i kinda GOT big (partly) because of him(only foreigner to stay in korea for multiple years, his rage etc ^^)
I could elaborate a lot more on this and on the topic of bigT himself, but i won't cause its just completely timeinefficient, just had to react to that.
Edit: BigTmoneeeee , just give it the fuck up dude, wont happen.. EVER

Esports may not get big directly because of me or even because of me at all. But, esports will definitely get big because of people LIKE me. exactly, but people LIKE you dont actually have any talents, any defining traits. you just have to be able to say things that are wrong while watching a game of sc2 and annoying the people playing it. anyone can do that, its tl's judgement that you arent one of the more appealing people doing it, so they're not helping promote you. its perfectly reasonable.

Just because I'm not going about it the same way, doesn't mean I'm going about it the wrong way. Every little bit will help expand esports in the US. Its going to take one step at a time.
I think determotion, and sinceritination, passion, commitment, devy are pretty defining traits

I agree, but whether you like it or not, getting featured increases your viewership. However, I have given up as well. I have not though about it, asked about it, or brought it up at all for months. The only reason I'm talking about it right now is because Chill decided to bring it up again.
PS I have started uploading individual match VODs. Check the OP ^^*

People like me, determined, motivated, and passionate about sc2, will definitely make esports bigger.
Let me make something clear, Esports is not going to get big on casters who ask their viewers for money constantly while talking about how awesome they are. Every time I have tuned into your stream I have been forced to tune out or else go into a ragefest over this. If you're going to stand up here and say people like you are going to change esports well yeah... thats about as far as I'm going to go.

BigT, while Chill is responsible for maintaining the stream list, the admin staff as a whole have decided not to feature you. Your constant self-promotion at the expense of others, your questionable behaviour in the middle of tournaments, and your begging for money are big turn offs for me.
I think we have been more than fair in allowing your events to be featured, as there was talk of just axing you and your events off the calendar entirely. If you think you deserve more than that, then show me with your actions rather than your words.
Now this thread can go one of two ways. These disrespectful posts can continue, you can fight the evil tyrants holding you down, and I can close the thread.
Or, people can PM me and discuss it civiliy, and this thread can remain open.

Manifesto showing why he is such a beast. Lol.

You sit there and ask people to PM you while you publicly post on the forum... Practice what you preach???

It's a public announcement, it's not necessarily just to you. Everyone can see how the thread has been going, and Manifesto7 is attempting to make sure that the thread stays open with real discussion about either the players or the tournament.

is bigt calling manifesto out?
dunno if you can get any more ballsy than that...
anyway to remain on topic i cant stand BigT's casting (hold on im getting to the on topic part) but i do appreciate the fact that hes bringing a tournament of his own devising in.

can't wait to see Huk in this tournament.

You seem to think that's hypocritical, but I'm not sure why (it isn't). My advice to you is to stop worrying about getting featured. If you enjoy what you're doing, then keep on doing it. Maybe one day you'll meet whatever expectations you need to and you'll find yourself on that list. Maybe not, who knows. Do it because you like it, and get better at it because it's what you want for yourself. While you have many fans, you've also given a few people a bad first impression on here. It's actions, not words, that will slowly erase that image and replace it with a new one that's up to you to create. Whether that image is of a professional, reliable and dedicated caster or a shady, self-righteous opportunist is completely in your hands.

I don't think it's "for no good reason." I have watched you commentate twice. One time was like a month ago during a tournament where one of the players asked you to leave because of lag. Your response was something along the lines of "I'm not lagging, just shut up and play" (I don't remember the exact words used because it was so long ago, but I believe some cuss words were even thrown around). So there's one reason. The other time I've watched you commentate were the QXC vs. KiwiKaki VODS you posted in this thread where you kept fumbling over words, which does not make for good commentating. So there's two good reasons.
With that said, I do appreciate what you are trying to do for the community, but there are definitely some areas you can improve in. I think a lot of it has to do with your general attitude (i.e. "my shit don't stink"), and the fact that you refuse to acknowledge this only compiles the problems. I think this tourney will turn out to be really great and I wish you luck in the success of it.
P.S. Are we not supposed to be talking about this any more?

Well its people like you who don't watch or follow me at all who give me a bad name. This is EXACTLY what I've been doing for the past months. I have not thought about, worried about, or tried to get featured after the first time i asked. But you guys seem to think that I'm constantly bringing it up cause you just happened to read about it in this single thread. But that is NOT TRUE, the only reason I am talking about it is because Chill brought it up and I had a problem with what he said. So although i realize you are trying to be constructive, please atleast give me the courtesy of atleast watching my stream before making such assumptions. And that goes for everyone else as well.

You are completely misinformed about the situation you are trying to recollect... I have never said something like that in my life. I also try to improve on a daily basis and constantly except constructive criticism. :O

i dont want to see this thread get closed i will agree with you BigT on all your points, But now lets get back to the tournament.
So does a yellow team win? I know they do with the 20% buff in all for being yellow.
(BTW someone really need to create a sarcastic font.)

Sorry man your right, but sometimes everyone calling me out gets to be too much, some of the things people say are just too much to just ignore sometimes :/
And yes lol. Yellow does instantly give you a 20% armor and attack increase so expect many more victories for yellow in the future.
AND I HAVE STARTED UPLOADING INDIVIDUAL MATCH VODS... YOUR WELCOME!!
