Lol Eminem is mainstream...where have you been for the past 6 years.
that was the joke
Yea...that was called sarcasm.
Aight just checking.
btw
For some reason my sc2 application will start and end up in a black screen. But there are 2 processes in the sc.exe name. If i cancel the smaller of the processes it will bring up a loading screen and then when it gets to main screen and it shuts off.

Okay, I am putting on my walking shoes and heading over to their headquarters. If I don't return in a hour or so send the marines to look for me for I mostly would have been taken out by a cloaked terran ghost.
Dumb question but how do i reply to posts and do the nestled post thing?
Hi again. So I visited Blizzard and here is what went down. Walked into the lobby after going through the security guard and introduced myself as a dedicated fan of SC2 to the receptionist and asked to speak with someone on the SC2 team about the beta phase 2 launch. I at first got rejected but kept pressing and eventually was able to speak with some manager who only offered that it will be up "soon" and he is not allowed to comment further do to company privacy policies. I was then politely shown the door. Sorry that I could not offer more but you should know their headquarters seems like a great place to work.
For those of you having trouble downloading or are not sure if you are updated you should have patches 16, 17, 18, and 19. 19 is the big one. I had deleted and reuploaded since the beta went down so you have to do the following to get the new updates. Special thanks to Dr4goN and Nick12322. This is exactly what I did: Step 1: Create a .txt file in your wordpad Step 2: Type in the following line if you are in Europe: set patchlist eu-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch Type in the following line if you are in the US: set patchlist us-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch Step 3: save it as realmlist.stf and be sure you type in the .stf as that makes it a launch app. Step 4: Move it to your “Support” folder in your SC2 folder. Step 5: Launch game and it will download Patch 15 first and then update scripts before downloading the large files for patches 16 to 19. Step 6: You will see a new screen in the login with a message that system is down for maintenance. Background is changed. Note that the battle.net uploading bar has changed from green to a yellow & black bar. Not sure if there is a difference for Macs but it should be the same method.
can anybody confirm if FRESH INSTALL clients are now able to download the patch from the servers?
before, fresh installs had to manually update to Patch 8 or something before SC2 would start auto downloading the new patch.. if i read correctly
imo blizz wouldnt release the beta unless you could download the client fresh and be able to auto-update, they arent going to expect people to have to manually update, therefore they wouldnt release beta untill they had it fixed?
SO, can anybody confirm if fresh installs can now patch correctly?

In my opinion.
imo saying "imo" is pretty retarded. Of course it's my opinion, I'm the one posting! Jeez =P
its to emphasize that you arent telling everyone how it is, your just saying what you believe and that they should take it with a grain of salt.
the reason were doing that is to avoid massive flaming.
He wasn't serious... or he's calling himself retarded.
but am i serious? also imo it is retarded to say imo, the only reason i do is because its shorter. plus its a difficult one for nubs to pick up on if theyre not on forums bigtime, afaik is much easier to brain out, i like taht one.
edit: you could always write something like: " this is only presented as my opinion, please do not flame me into the ground for saying things you do not agree with."
and no i dont have to understand what people are implying to quote-post them.

I believe it checks then installs a 1gb patch or something to that effect if you are on a fresh install

Mine patched fine but my game is fucked up. It can't get past the first second of the main screen.
