Americans think 200 years is a long time.

Europeans think 200 miles is a long distance.

Americans think they are the hottest shit since the making of fire in Prehistory. Since America has only lived for a little over 200 years, Americans dont realize they are merely at the front of the world's stage recently as others have been before (Napoleon, Louis XIV, Charlemagne), and lord it over other countries that had similar preeminence before.

I am an American now, but I was born in Orleans, France. Everytime my friends start talking shit about France and Europe I remind them that America may not have existed without French assistance in both money for military arms, soldiers, and most importantly the French navy during the Revolution.

Same kind of people think that it was the United States who primarily defeated Germany in WWII, even though 500,000 Americans died, and 16,000,000 Russians died. Had the American armies faced the full force of the Wehrmacht (German army) without Germans being mostly tied down in the East against Russia, I think America's forces would have gotten run over. This is what happened to France in 1940, with no Russian Front to speak of, and even less British help than the Americans had in 1944.

The Americans come in after everyone is exhausted from 2 years of war and invade the backdoor of a German Occupied Europe and proclaim themselves heroes (at least little kids today do). Typical American naivete...

58,000 Americans americans died in the Vietnam war and 308,000 were wounded.3 to 4 million Vietnamese on both sides were killed, in addition to another 1.5 to 2 million Lao and Cambodians who were drawn into the war.I dont think you can say the US lost that war its just because we never got them to surrender because they would have kept sending more and more until they all were dead. But it seems to me your trying to say that the US isnt as powerful as everyone says, the truth is we havnt lost a war if you take vietnam as 58,000 loses to over 4 million a lost then ok we lost?But Japan found out the hard way who is the most powerful country in the world they attack us on our own soil and paid the worst price.We are the most powerful country in the world like it or not!
