ye that game was terrible. 6 gate of 1 base, could see the winner after 5 mins. Just kept going cause he wanted to snipe ur colossus with all his units, and then replace em cause his income was double:p

Because I knew his play level was very high, I knew after I missed his high yield expo that even if I got an expo up, I'd be too behind and I had lost already. My only chance was to mass gates and hope to break him before his economy gets too out of control.

I'd like to know if anyone has thoughts of what to do - if you play 1 base protoss anticipating a 1 base zerg, but you find out of an high-yield expo too late, what would you do =S

Tbh tho, when you have to counter muta with mass marine, and all zerg has to do is make a few fast banelings and melt entire army away, what is your best option? Does thor counter mass muta? dont tell me ravens does, cause that is not working against good players. They will just pull back.

I tried a few ghosts some days ago, and snipe really raped mutas real bad. Their base attack also rape muta since their light armor. Maby somthing to consider if you scout spire.

Thors counter mutas pretty well. If you go up to truly stupid numbers, it becomes hard for the thors, but by then you can get ravens.

If Naruto had played this way in SC1 - going 1 rax -> fac -> cc-> siege tanks without scouting the zerg, and then lost to mutas... would anyone have blamed his demise on imbalance?

If he'd done the same build, except with a Thor instead of his siege tank, he'd have been fine. Also, the Thor does just fine in defending against roaches or hydras.

Anyway, I think the zerg's harass was really nice =]

How do I watch these replays once I've downloaded the packs? I extracted the .rar files and it says I need a program to open them with? I put them in my starcraft 2 folder and they don't appear on my replay list (i'm in BETA). I also tried going to Open With -> Starcraft 2, and this doesn't work either. Please help before I smash my keyboard.

if you open your my documents folder there should be a sc2 folder -> replays

if you put the files there and still dont see them in the list something is wrong!

Pretty fun TvT for me on Steppes of War. I go 1 fact-port-expand into contain but get dropped at my main. Lift my CCs to the expo at 9 and High Yield at 5, and am able to rebuild and take down what he had left.

A pretty abusive strategy that was fairly common in Sc/bw TvZ LT as well, as always when TLO is involved (or so it seems) the game takes a nasty turn and gets pretty intense in the end.

That brought back memories of old school SC1 style terran. Nice game.

My only beef with tanks is as soon as you got them, it allowed him to basically expand all over the rest of the map due to your lack of mobility.

People earlier were complaining of no reps VS IdrA. After a 6 game win streak this morning I got matched up with him on my 2nd account - Undertow. Wasn't sure if it was him at first, but after the game a right clicked his profile and sure enough it's him =p.

When i'm trying to watch a replay it says something like One or more files are missing and are needed to be downloaded. I guess these are the maps, but when I play versus AI (no beta key =() he loads the maps no problem?

Hi guys,

So there was some sort of Russian sc2tv tournament #3 recently and I was watching some of the replays from the packs posted on http://www.sc2tv.ru/starcraft-2/sc2-replays/1902-replei-s-sc2tv-invite-tourney-3.html.

Well, I downloaded Dimaga's pack(I think this is the the real Dimaga is it not?) linked here: http://www.sc2tv.ru/engine/download.php?id=305. And in the first game of round 1 named R 1 1.sc2replay Dimaga does the craziest drone split sending all his drones individually to seperate mineral spots. Is there some hotkey to do this or does he just have insanely fast hands? He doesn't do it in any of the other replays I've watched so it really weirded me out. What do you guys think?
