This tournament was conceived to celebrate one user's love of the game. Starcraft is a beautiful game and we are so lucky to have a community of people so passionate about the game that they are willing to give their own money to support high quality games. This is why I am here now bringing you the For the Love of the Game tournament. With $500 and possibly more up for grabs thanks to the generosity of sYz-Adrenaline (send him a PM saying THANKS!), I am here to co-host this event.

I think he isn't an oldschool player (?) but he has been doing great lately ( joined ESC, did well at WCG Germany etc ... )

When I get rich I'm gonna make my own tournament and attract all the good players with a lot of money in the prize pool. Then I'm going to invite myself and make up retarded rules along the way (''WTF? Where did my mutas go? In this tournament you're only allowed to build one Valkyrie per game! The guy who is paying for the tourney should >_<
I want to play.. I have been running a cash tour for too long.. want a stab at one. You should force your hand on this.. far too many non incontrol's in that tourney imo.

It's nice to support your friends and everything, but why give an invite to some C player who will just instalose first round, when you could use that spot for an interesting player instead?

i've been in the community for ages - started competing way back before replays were even introduced (although of course i wasn't that good back then, and still arent compared to the list of ppl invited, who are all like A- gamers)
I know all the invitees.. and I know my "days are numbered" in this tournament - but the tournament hoster wanted to give me a shot in there, which I appreciate ^ ^ and I will definately try my best.
some of my more known aka's that i've had would be:
88)sosha, sosha[CF]t, gO)sosha, sosha.REV, sosha(gG), SyZ-sosha, Last.Sosha and sosha[AoV]
unfortunately there was a quarrel that was brought up a long time ago that Inc (i gotz no problem w/ him) said I was kicked out of 88) for hacking.. which i've never did in compeitite 1:1 games (only time i ever hacked was WAY back in money-map days like 3:3 bgh etc, just to try it out) again, I've never hacked in 'real' ladder-type games.. I got more respect for the game and the level of competition to do that.
Protoss user btw. and considering I think jeremy said that including me, there's only 3 Protoss in the invitee list.. makes me want to do even better ><
hopefully more will qualify

That is pretty funny/awesome. I meant to be mad at that kid for WO'ing me during a WCG qualifier but I suck at holding grudges.
The list is ok (and I totally agree that the guy putting up the money can do what he wants) but missing some names. DIMAGA is the first that comes to mind but if he wants to I'm sure he'll qualify np.

I'll host my own tourney and call it "Inc gets invited this time, Tournament". Sound good? Actually if I were to ever host a tournament I'd try to look into getting some of the old school players interested pending the ability to even contact them. 1st~Tsunami/Pillars/Zilias/Maynard/NTT/Grrrr/Nazgul/Sven/Slayer/Mondragon for a Nostalgia foreigner tournament. Just a few names off the top of my head. Thats in my dreams though. If I were to be able to get even half of them into a tournament and stream it I'd probably die a happy man :o

You sound nice and all, but please don't try to delineate a line between acceptable hacking in "fun" games and no hacking in "real" games. Hacking is hacking, it means you have no respect and that you're a cheater, it doesn't matter where. I applaud a team for kicking you out for hacking even if it wasn't in "competition."

Ok, back on topic: Get a good caster! I prefer someone who sais nothing but just shows what happens than someone from sc2gg (sorry guys, I just cant stand most of you) who gets "exited" by doubling his volume. Ok lets not go there-

Perhaps I didn't make the distinction clearly.. and maybe u could take the time to understand what I mean when I say that it happened before I cared about competitve starcraft. Competitive meaning, understanding and willingness to get better @ the game. The time I 'hacked' was in the 3v3 bgh days.. or at least when I 1st started online - I had no idea about competitive 1:1 SC or pro-gaming - I didn't even hack to win for god sakes.. I didnt use it to try to win, or to cheat, I wanted to see what it was like.. and honestly, I didnt even see any point to it even in those days, so I prolly hacked about 3 games and then uninstalled.
Again, I hope ppl can understand a point here, in the fact that I was freakin' like 14-15 yrs old when this happened, and didnt know anything of the game. I started competive SC when I was like 17-18. Even since I quit the hack the 1st time, i never considered it again.
It's kind of a retarded point to bring up the "once a hacker always a hacker" idea.. I mean, are ppl still this harsh on ppl like Testie, MrZzzz or the other infamous hackers of the community (who actually hacked for live competition games)??
Anywho - like I tried saying - Inc said that he kicked me out for "hacking" but that was never the case. I wasn't kicked out of any team for that reason - as I have never hacked in competitive SC, meaning ladders, team-games, CW's etc.. (going back to my statement, that was years b4 i started competitive sC)

If someone's willing to put up the money, then he can invite whomever he wants. It's not like Sosha somehow harms the integrity of a fun tournament that is being played "for the love of the game".
We all need to chill. And qualify. I definitely need to lose in one of the qualifiers just for fun. Playing better players makes you better.

I'm assuming you live in Quebec, yes? French-Canadian keyboards are quite different from European-French keyboards. My friend had his laptop refurbished and they gave him a keyboard from France for some reason. It was impossible to use.
