I think July was the only guy who really cares about GOM.
At the absolute least, Jaedong cares more about OSL and MSL moreso.
That said, it's a true feat that Effort took a series ZvZ off Jaedong. He's one of two people to do it, and that's damn impressive, no matter the circumstances. I just don't think a 2-0 win in GOM (that has weird upset voodoo magic) should relegate Effort to "just as good at ZvZ as Jaedong," like some people seem to suggest. If anyone really thinks that, then they are very short sighted or haven't been watching Jaedong for the past 2 years.

Everyone loses. To say that JD is losing it now or that Effort's a god now is just stupid. But at the same time, to say that it's just a fluke or that GOM doesn't mean much is just as dumb. GOM has the biggest prize pool out of any of the Starleagues and is also the only league to be broadcasted in a language besides Korean. It's not just some 2nd rate league anymore. It's a league that can really stand up with the MSL and OSL. Furthermore, beating JD in a BO3, let alone any ZvZ, really shows Effort's capabilities and the fact that he's really risen to the top ranks as a Zerg player.
