Dunno, I have this nagging feeling that Yarnc has some shit up his sleeve (2 hatch mutas maybe?) and will manage to take a game off Flash. Backho blows, and Fantasy is fucking good at TvP. Who'd pick a zerg over the Red Sniper? By.Hero is an enigma however. The guy at times has some fucking worldclass play, but other times just fails to do anything significant. It's hard to predict, but I'm hoping he's got some good stuff ready for Leta and his lame paper airplanes.

As long as Flash's special build isn't 14cc, he'll win. Fantasy should beat backho due to TvP being a good matchup for him. Hwasin should beat ZerO due to awesome. Leta should be by.hero due to stats.

There's a lot of shit in Kona's streams. For some reason, trying to ignore it is hard, so I've just stopped watching unless it's the only thing available, using uusee instead. Kinda sad, I liked it when not as many ppl joined and the convos were actually on the game and productive (instead of 50 fucktards yelling THE STOVE!!! or BISUUUU SUXXXX FANBOIS!). I can imagine Kona's frustration though, he clears the chat, starts kicking ppl that are being idiots, but it starts again 30 seconds later.

Flash's overall build was fine , but he shoulve realized the earlier timing on the spire and prepared extra turrets. He could've cut scvs, turreted a little more, and easily rolled yarnc with a better econ.
Yarnc just totally exploited Flash having prepared a build by using one that there was almost no way for Flash to have encountered in practice, basically abused the timing.
Why are you people surprised many voted for Flash? It's Flash ffs. No matter how good yarnc's zvt is, it is still Flash we are talking about. I hate people who vote for the guy with lesser votes and show it off feeling like a prophet or something.
That being said. Flash played dumb, he scouted everything and he shouldve known by now yarnc's playstyle. I think he was too inclined to do his "special build" bullshit instead of adjusting to yarnc's build.

Flash's TvZ is 14-3 this year, with losses to Jaedong, Effort, and one to Oversky on Battle Royale.
It was really smart play by Yarnc. He basically figured Flash wouldn't do any sort of early game pressure build (especially since Flash has done it against Hoejja in GOM on the same map) and exploited that to get pretty much the fastest possible (2 Hatch) Muta timing. The disappointing part is that Flash, even having seen the Spire, still didn't do a better job defending it. Perhaps he thought Yarnc was faking it and going to go for a speedling break or something, but it was an ugly, ugly way to go.
Now Flash has a long road to advance, he basically must beat JD and Effort (too much to hope for JD to go 3-0 and Yarnc to also beat Effort).

Fantasy naturally taking the minonly inside his base. Backho on 3 base now and slowly catchig up in supply. Tanks in ship and vultures heading for that third. Excellent Dropship control by fantasy there. Mines are decimating the goons. But he loses his dropship with 2 tanks!
Fantasy going 4-6 facs now. Backho barely on 4 gateways, he should be adding more soon. So far, Backho is withstanding the harass not too shabbily, but he is still behind in supply and economy. Vultures going for the third again, together with single dropship.

Fantasy must have 10+ factories running. Backho has teched for arbiters and building the first two. Push is stalled for now, but Vultures arrive at the third again. Take down a cannon, kill some probes before being disposed off. Main push heading for Backho's natural now.
Hard contain at the natural's doorstep now. Bottom right probably running, and fantasy has one more CC building even. FIrst tanks siege up close to the nexus. Backho abusing invisible Zealots to drag mines into tanks.
Backho rallying up what will probably be his last push, but fantasy ahead by like 20 supply. good stasis on some back tanks. Zealots try to break out, but looks like even those few troops can hold. Backho broken down now.

... the only way for Aiur is the lame way at the start, with plain opening / standard game P is starting 2 lost MU (PvT and PvZ). Sad truth for Aiur :-(

He definitely could have won more quickly, but I don't think fast pushes are his style. He was in 0 risk of losing after the failed attack if he just stuck to his vulture/drop harass + expand strategy.

Horrible Idea..thats just adding a huge amount of risk for absolutely no reason. Why not just take the easy third and add dropship play since it's really strong on ROTK anyways? Much more solid.
If protoss micros extremely well they can break the timing push and then you won't be able to catch up. No reason for a player as good as fantasy at tvp to play that way.

Yea I don't know what the deal is with BackHo. He's a relatively solid player mechanically, but he makes so many mistakes all over the place. He seems to get lucky and make mistakes that give him the game way too often, and only when he is playing gamers everyone wants to move on.
I missed the game, what was flash's o so special build that he preped? anyway now he lost he has to beat jaedong and effort to get through, i think he can do it but idk why he was so stupid and didnt pick someone like canata who he could have owned easily rather than yarnc who always upsets him T_T

No "special build" really got shown. Flash tried to go Goliaths and Valks but Yarnc built like 4 lings total and went STRAIGHT to Spire at pretty much the fastest possible 2 Hatch timing and just overwhelmed Flash with Mutas.
The disappointing thing was that Flash scouted the Spire timing with an SCV and was just late on Turrets (Ebay ready and everything).
Flash had turrets, just not enough. He was obviously counting on his first valk comming out just as mutas arrived, but the timing suprised him(even though it really shouldn't have) and the mutas came before the valk was out. As a result the small amount of spread out turrets werent enough to protect the first 2 gols from being sniped and after that the valk was easy to pick off...game over.

flash vs yarnc was funny, fantasy vs backho was basically an exhibition match featuring fantasy's tvp, this match will be entertaining i'm sure, but leta vs by,hero will answer some questions by golly
Ya I think leta vs hero is the most interesting match also. Mainly because I want to see if leta has the balls to open 2 port wraith again. Despite knowing that hero would be practicing a ton against it and all the talk at the group selection.

Leapfroguuuuu! Zero re-established his lurker contain outside Hwasin's natural, he should have swarm ready long before Hwasin can push him. Zero has a queen, too.
Hwasin can take consolation in his 6 vessels, but not much else. He'd probably be dead if Zero would just bring some damn defilers already. Hwasin cleared his entrance - a defiler is here.
Hwasins best chance would've been to do some type of all in early on after the huge disadvantage from the failed bunker (thanks to zeros amazingly perfect defense of it.)
That was a horrible, horrible game by hwasin. I can't remember when I last saw him playing THAT bad. He was on 3 rax with over 1500 minerals like half game for crying out loud. ><

Flash literally would've won had he put up turrets. All he had to do was stall for the valks and gols to come. He even saw the spire timing, early lair, and expansion before his scout died. He knew exactly when and what was coming, but only got up like 2 turrets to stop 2hat muta. it was embarrassing.

wow in the group selection thread someone said that flash made a mistake by picking fakeyellow. guess he was right. flash jeadong i'd say 50/50, flash effort maybe 60/40. so i guess flash has only a 30% chance to make it as i cant see jeadong or effort lose their zvz against yellow

There's like 3 spots T can proxy a fact on destination that can fuck you. Its a pain..I used to just check the most common one and be like oh ok good im safe from that..then sure enough vults start showing up from somewhere else...

If flash beats effort and yarnc goes 0-2 flash isn't eliminated. He can either beat jaedong or beat effort + yarnc in a tiebreaker, so he still has a pretty good chance of qualifying.

No, it's a 3 player map and even if it only worked if you scouted the opponent of the first try, it would be 50/50 like how Terrans bunker rush on Medusa. However, Leta scouts the opposing zerg by checking for the presence of creep, which extends beyond the hatchery, so he can scout the opponents covertly, meaning he can do his build 100% of the time.
