+ Show Spoiler [Predictions] +The first match between hyvaa and Miracle should be a rather bland series. hyvaa is playing really well lately (although I hate to admit it) and Miracle is the third string Terran on Samsung KHAN behind a semi-slumping FBH and a generally bad FrOzean. Last season, Miracle was the warm-up set for Kal, dropping two games in exciting but poor fashion, and this season, hyvaa is the anxious fighter waiting for his chance at the Round of 16 play in match. The second match of the night will pit Hwasin, who hasn't looked quite up to par lately, against either a shockingly surging Miracle, or a just warmed up hyvaa. I think the latter. Hwasin is a TvZ aficionado, and even in his sub-stellar shape, he's shown he still has that working for him. If hyvaa does make it through, we'll see a great 3 game set. Unfortunately, I think hyvaa's lack of high pressure situation experience will be his downfall and he'll crack to Hwasin's cooler, calmer experience.

I'd like to think that a 6-4 L10 record isn't "stella". It's good, definitely, but it's definitely not amazing, imo. His "real" recent ZvT (meaning with shit that isn't over 2 months old) is sitting at a near-even 3-2, so he's vulnerable. Not that Miracle will shake him, but I don't think he has what it takes against Hwasin, who's "real" recent TvZ is 7-1.

lol stella is overboard. But I'm still very impressed by his play.
If you look at Hyvva and hwasins past 10 opponents you can really tell Hyvva has had a much harder time than Hwasin has. Hwasins wins have been taken from not so great players while his loses are mostly from your above average zergs, Hyvva is one

The guy is becoming the next big zerg. Just consider his improvement over the last 3 months he went from horribly failing with queen/ultra versus flash, to writing the definative guide on ZvMech on medusa, after his amazing game vs fantasy, jaedong completely changed his zvmech approach, and not even a month after hyvaa tried to use queens against flash, jaedong started doing it.

I dunno, I think the losses to FBH (slumping) and Notice (I like the kid for some reason, but he ain't good right now) recently speak louder than two wins over Light (seems a bit off lately) and sKyHigh (good player but very volatile, can be great then terrible in a snap of the fingers).
I think we can both agree it will be a good series between Hwasin and hyvaa.

It has a lot to do with the execution of the build and who came up with it of course. You need both. The innovation to come up with these strats and the execution to win you the games makes good creative players like hyvva.
I bet if it wasn't flash he was versing his queen usage would have probably owned the terran (thinking of the Andromeda game)

Actually, the commentators said Hyvaa's play was Jaedong-class. I don't remember the commentators saying Hyvaa might be better than Jaedong.

Next big zerg does not at all imply the toppling of jaedong.
The big zergs right now are Jaedong,effort,,zero,luxury,yellow[arnac],julyzerg,by.hero and savior. I don't think its a stretch to say any good zerg is becoming one of the best zergs and getting molested by bisu does not make you bad a zvp, even effort and luxury still get trash compacted by the guy. Infact only 3 zergs do well against bisu (jaedong,zero,by.hero) and even the zergvprotossgod himself july loses to him.
The reason I brought up his strategic sense is because I think that behind brilliant idea's is a brilliant mind, and sometimes it takes a long time to nuture that into a domaniant force.
I think an offbeat zerg (savior,calm,hyvaa are all weird zerg players) would be a great addition to the ranks of aggressive/macroing/mechanically gifted zergs that currently sit atop the zerg castle.

As for ZvP, I just meant in general, not the bisu thrashing. Bisu is acceptable. But yoon? Who the fuck is yoon? lol. His ZvP wins since last December: Anytime (ACE), herb (lol), Jaehoon (Ok, but still somewhat lol), HoOny (lol), Reach (ACE), Anytime (ACE), herb (lol).

refresh the link in WMP until it works, might take atleast 10-15 tries. It should show the stream instant almost without any buffering. Then you have a perfect stream (if your connection is ok)

Had to restart the VLC stream a few times to get it to work. Started working flawlessly just for the start of the game. Lucky too, since it turned out to be so short. Nicely played by hyvaa. 1 win down, 3 to go...

Anyway, 2 solid games of Hwasin owning, i thought hyvaa had a good shot, but I'm really glad that Hwasin proved to me that his normal not-so-good record in PL doesn't translate over to individual leagues.

This group was really enjoyable to watch. It was as if all of the players decided that they should play using their best old school strategies. Guard/hydra, 2 raxes and quick dropship plays. Fun!
