yes, the winner's bracket finalist usually gets a enters the grand final with a 1-0 game lead over the loser's bracket finalist.
another way they could do it was to play the BoX series twice, if the loser wins the first BoX series, but i don't think thats been done in a long time.

For those complaining about "Russian servers", it is not Russian servers that is the problem. Don't be stupid ffs. It is the GOODGAME.RU server that has limited bandwidth. I d/l frequently from igamecentral.ru and other renown Russian sites and often get 1+MB/s d/l speed.
Anyway, if there is anyone interested, I have d/led the three White-ra vs Idra games and can Rapidshit them if there is demand. The quality is a bit lacking sadly.. but I can't imagine you guys will be listening to the commentary anyway.

+ Show Spoiler +It now looks like Super was by far the weakest link in this tournament. IdrA really should have had him 2-0, but threw away a massive lead in the 2set. After watching Super's performance vs. IdrA, the fact that Tossgirl went 2>1 over him is just more confirmation to me that Tossgirl is a weak player. I think IdrA is the heavy favorite over Tossgirl.
White-Ra is the wildcard...I haven't watched his series vs. IdrA but I'm very curious how he won on Chupung-Ryeong. I'm impressed. I think the finals will be a rematch of White-Ra vs. IdrA, and I hope IdrA comes out on top.

Also, about game one - there is a post by an admin at gg.ru explaining that the server overload is causing their ftp to malfunction and the video has become broken each time he tried to u/l it. They say they will make a new attempt soon, when the load tapers a bit.

Maybe it's not truth, but from my experience it is fact. As I said, I am not generalizing things it was just an experience with those servers, nothing more, nothing less and you take it too serious friend.

I was pretty excited when this even was announced, but now I'm pretty much "meh" about it. I guess Tossgirl pulling the upset was good as I had Super pegged to win it all, but having only 4 players kind of sucks.

Ret had over 300 people on his stream (We were running at about 260 with massive spam) without any problems whatsoever.
So I assume if Ret with 300 is not laggy then 260 shouldn't be laggy either...

Artosis is explaining that someone told him the fact that there are too many users on his Mogulus stream is what is causing the game to lag - isn't this total bullshit? The load for serving the stream to users is Mogulus's responsibility, not Artosis's computer's responsibility, right? I mean, Artosis merely provides the video feed to Mogulus for distribution to viewers of the stream - he's not actually directly connected to each user on the Mogulus stream.
And furthermore, Artosis is on some sort of monstrous computer. If ret or Chill can stream to 300+ viewers without a problem, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to.

Either Procaster lagged Artosis's comp (unlikely) or it wasn't stream-related at all.

actually, i thnk it might cause the lag, since these comps are cabled and the moguls might take all of artosis' bitrate on uploading, hence making him lag with lan-sc.. not so much the pcu part but lan issue.. but i'm not sure, just guessing..

Yea, thats what I thought too, regardless of users, he still uploads the same. Did it look like the game was lagging Artosis? Sort of hard to tell from the limited quality stream, but looked pretty smooth *shrug*. But yea, could do it liquibition style and cast reps.

I agree that the fact that Artosis is streaming might be the cause for the lag (though it's unlikely, given how powerful his computer is) but what I'm calling bullshit on is the following explanation: "Artosis is causing lag because there are too many people connected to his Mogulus stream".
This explanation is BS because streaming costs Artosis's computer the same amount of processing power and bandwidth regardless of how many users are connected.

the amount of viewers shouldnt have an effect on the game quality but im guessing multiple streams with all the comps using a single connection might have an effect on the lag (im guessing the other obs are also streaming which can kill his upload rate)

This is probably just coincidence. Can you think of any way the number of connected users could possibly affect Artosis's computer?

It probably has something to do with the switches/routers not able to handle the troughput from all the network traffic, not only artosis machine/stream.
Anyways, just a heads-up the previous games are available to watch on mogulus on-demand, I'm watching ra vs tossgirl since the live stream was shitty due to extreme chat gayness.

thinking about it more he could also reduce his upload rate with lower bitrates and less quality, also only showing the starcraft windowed mode screen instead of both starcraft and the banner on the right this should even out the quality and decrease his upload rate.. essentially reducing lag D:

Idra looses to Ra (Didn't watch these games 2-1) then beats Super in some cool games, second game was a comeback but mostly because idra made some mistakes, third game idra takes with a nice 2fac build after blocking the scout with a rine so Super is out after loosing two matches.
So finals = Ra vs Idra.

White-Ra getting an observatory bay. I am not sure if he has reaver tech. Idra CC is 75% done and he is getting an academy and upgrading what looks to be siege. Reaver Tech is now building for white-Ra and he actually makes obs before the reaver. He has 3 goons and 1 zealot atm. Idra, deciding not to float the CC yet and is just making turrets and sieging tanks. He makes a turret in his natural and floats the CC and ebay. White-Ra sending his units down the map.

White-Ra has his natural expo up and is taking his 3rd @ Top Left. Idra with 2 facts and adding a 3rd.

Idra is moving out with 5 vults and 2-3 tanks and engages white-ras army in the middle. Idra gets off some good mines and is able to kill the reaver with 3 tanks left.

White-Ra brining some units from behind. Idra attacks the 3rd with 1 tank and 6 vults and losses the tank but the remaining vultures take out the cannon and kill all the probes and my stream freezes -_-;;

IdrA is totally prepared with scan and turrets, fends of the DTs easily. His expo is up and he is now in a commanding position in this game.
IdrA is totally in his element here...all of his games today have been really impressive.

White-Ra is adding gateways now and is still only on 2 base. Idra is moving out with about 5 tanks some marines/scvs and reinforcing with vults. White-Ra tries to delay with dts but idra scans immediately and kills it. White-Ra is attacking with a bunch of goons speed zeals and gets the zeals to the tanks and they both trade armies and idra losses all his tanks.

Clearly it was the map pool and not Idra playing masterfully.
He did win game 1 on old medusa and game 2 with builds we are NOT used to seeing from him at all, namely aggressive style 2 fact type rushes.
