On April 06 2009 16:08 latent wrote: Lol I just watched the OSL Finals interview myself, but apparently a Korean friend of mine thought Fantasy was a bit bad-mannered for not thanking the crowd or his teammates or anyone for that matter (I don't know why but there are tons and tons of Korean international students at my uni). According to Baezzi's translation the commentator asked Fantasy to say something appreciative to his fans and the kid just brushed it off, saying he'll win next time. He didn't even look sad to me...just ticked off at Jaedong. Personally I can understand how he left, but lol... ignoring his fans like that was a little crude. Oh well, it just makes my point in another thread about how he always seems to think about his own success more meaningful. It will be interesting to see how well he does in the next Proleague season compared to the individual leagues. Im acctually a BIG fantasy fan. And i dont care at all. Why is it when it comes to starcraft EVRYBODY is so fucking easely offended. Idra states that he think polands sux compåared to USA and the ww3 is upon ous. Bisu rating jaeding as a defence 2 and ppl getting really upset. FBH rubbing a win into sviors face and now he is the most hated progamer of all time. Am i the only one that dont give a shit about these SMALL insedents. If it was football nobody would care!

In my experiences there's a tendency for asian adults to hover too much when given the opportunity to help. In some ways they want to enjoy success vicariously through their pupil(s). But I'm guessing the next time Fantasy reaches a final he'll much more confidently find his own way to win.

Fantasy obviously used his own "Fantasy" build in the fifth and final set. If anything, Oov's coaching set him up for the win. He had to seal the deal with his own build though, and failed.

He had to seal the deal with his own build though, and failed. Failed is a strong word for what happened. He did everything he was supposed to. How could he know Jaedong had clairvoyance and would deny his Vulture-harass? Fantasy did not fail; he got beaten. He played his ass off and ran into Jaedong. There's no shame in that. This is one of those rare series where both players come out looking better. Jaedong shows his mental fortitude after coming back from 0-2, and Fantasy shows that he can tangle with the best in the business. Why is it when it comes to starcraft EVRYBODY is so fucking easely offended. Idra states that he think polands sux compåared to USA and the ww3 is upon ous. First, people are offended because every player has some fans. So naturally, those fans will be offended when a player BM's him. Honking off the Savior fanbase is probably going to cause some hatred. I think FBH can take it ![]() Second, people are offended because BM'ing when you have nothing to back it up is just lame and makes you a poor sport. It's one thing if you're Jaedong or Bisu or someone with similar skill and you say that someone else sucks. It may be BM, but at least there's a hint of truth there. When Idra BMs, especially in games that he is losing due to his own lack of skill, I have nothing but scorn and derision for him. Third, BM in general is just unsportsman-like conduct. I've got no problem with celebrating a win vigorously. But full-on BMing your opponent is never justified; at best, it can be excused if you are truly great. And note: the truly greats almost never BM. It's usually the near-greats who do it (or the wannabes), and most of them don't.

not winning seems like failing to me. Everyone can't be a winner. My main point was to defend the coaching job. Fantasy played great and seemed very well prepared.

Bm poeple never gets you anywhere and it will only sink u deeper the moment you get beaten like fb hero for example which in turn demoralizes u bit by bit even if u say u don't care.
