OSL produces a set of maps that are BARELY zerg favored over terran (ignoring Chupung for the hell of it) and terran players cry foul.
I guess once you're used to having maps handed to you on a silver platter, anything less is a disappointment. my problem is not the zvt, its rather the zvp. This was the most in-your-face pool ever for the toss so far. After all JD got to play his zvt games in the finals and you cant say he abused it someway. Yes, maybe it was about time for zerg to have decent maps for all MUs, but if you look it on larger scale, I think you will see that JD had easy time winning this OSL, it was more or less like bisu's last MSL where got the title for trashing every toss alive and beating fbh like a dead horse. I want to finally have a tournament where no race is in disadvantage from the very beginning, thats all. Tears of the Moon is ridiculously Z>P. Medusa is very P>T. There's never going to be a map pool that's perfectly balanced, but aside from those two the map pool wasn't suffocatingly difficult for any race, and the quarterfinals as racially balanced you can possibly be.

I want to finally have a tournament where no race is in disadvantage from the very beginning, thats all. Clubday MSL TvZ: 5-7 ZvP: 1-6 PvT: 20-9 23 PvP matches, compared to 12 TvT and 3 ZvZ matches. Batoo OSL TvZ: 16-17 ZvP: 24-20 PvT: 16-18 13 TvT matches, compared to 8 ZvZ and 5 PvP matches. Quite clearly, Clubday MSL was obviously protoss friendly. Batoo OSL was more terran friendly, rather than zerg friendly. Just because protoss had a hard time in general, doesn't mean Jaedong had a free ride. Bisu was way more fortunate than Jaedong with his map pools. protoss scored many wins because overall many toss players had great season. Medusa is not that ZvP balanced for example, its just bisu winning a dozen of games there to equalize the stats, thats why the ogn commentators call it Taekdusa. Like artosis' nostalgia analysis, toss players were just better in general , so that the maps looked even more imba. Meh... its absolutely useless to talk about this anyway, but before the finals the only game JD had to work for his money was the one vs Stork on RoTK, besides that it was a zvz practice session and zvp newbie bashing on tears... Dont get me wrong, JD was clearly the best player in this league and he totally deserved his pin. I remember Plexa calling this OSL "bisu's destiny" but looking back, I can say it was JD's destiny instead. Everything worked out perfectly for him till the very end, even the factors, which were not under his impact

I was disappointed with the series overall
amazing comeback, blah blah blah, etc
but look at each game alone. They're all one sided rapes, there was no back and forth play unless you count mutas vs wraiths on tears. Its like bisu vs jd, all one sided so not too much entertainment value.

What led up to the rape definitely has value themselves (losing lings early in game 2/vulture rush by destroying like 13 drones). Factory getting spotted with the scv getting destroyed. Vulture bug and vulture drop fail in game 5. Mutalisk mistep game 1. I mean a lot of interesting things happened at critical moments.

I nearly cried when Jaedong won and how he was crying while talking. I have never seen such an emotional event. Jaedong, you earned a well deserved OSL title yet again! <3 ^^ Now go win that golden mouse next OSL!!!

yep, awesome map pool. Is tears really that imba or are protoss players just too stubborn to change? Sin Chupung-Ryeong has 2 entrances to nat and the stats are closer.
stork complained that totm has only 8minerals in main.

I disagree, there were tons of tense moments. Many attacks could have gone horribly wrong and changed the whole game. Especially when you see stuff like vulture raids and hydra vs mines. And all the proxy builds and stuff made for some pretty good suspense. It's true that there weren't any amazing comebacks, but the stuff I just talked about more than compensate for that.

Its like bisu vs jd, all one sided so not too much entertainment value. the trend unfortunately goes to that... with the level of perfection the game has reached, the first mistake/loss of units or the like is most often followed by a brutal rape.. S-Class of today is just too good to let any advantage slip, even if its just a small one. Since both players got their respective advantage pretty early in all 5 games, it were relatively short rapes.
