Jaedong vs Sunny @ Destination This is only the best game I have seen in a very long time. Massive props to Sunny, we all thought you were only cannon fodder to prevent Anytime from having to play a PvZ on Destination. EPIC GAME.

It's listed in the Calendar under "Upcoming Events" so you should be able to easily figure out which matches are new (or by the length/views of the threads if you aren't just browsing straight from the sidebar).

It's hard to find pictures of ace members without boxer in them. Also most of anytime's pictures have him in a lecaf outfit, even on the ACE website XD
Yeah, GoRush and XellOs don't even officially join the Air Force until the 16th, and even then they have to go through 7 weeks of basic before they can play on ACE.
OZ will destroy so hard like 4-1 or 4-2 depending on if they wanna give some scrubs some practice, unless ACE uses YellOw in which case he will all kill with some ultra baller shit

i have jaedong and anytime but i dont think either of them are going to give me any points today. oz is probably gonna save jaedong cuz of his osl match today and hiya or forgg have a high chance to just roll over Ace easy.
I got a question about the stream but the stream is having a ton of trouble streaming it and it eventually aborts it. And i have DSL so i don't have bad internet. Is anybody else having this problem?
Reach just needs some time to adjust to the newer T and Z playstyles. He still displayed amazing game sense and control in his games against top players like Flash.
If Reach was even the slightest more awesome, he'd be flying around the room shooting goddamn lasers out of his eyes. But for now, he can only do the former <3

Reach is in fOrGG's nat pressuring so that he doesn't suspect the rush. I haven't seen any detection for fOrGG yet. No ebay is up! The DTs should be in coming soon!

I can watch, and it's still annoying. Also, if you're reading a LR to see what happened during the game (which I used to do after OSL finals because the vods weren't up right away) I'd read posts pretty carefully, and if I saw, "xx is raping yy" in one post and "gg" the next" it'd be pretty easy to assume that yy might have gg'd when he reality he didn't.

I am not trying to rob people of fun but a post that has no more content other than "gg" is indeed frustrating for someone who can't watch. These threads are largely for the benefit of people who can't watch the games. He can add more content to his post like "this looks like it could be gg" or "omg reach is about to rape forgg" and that would be much less frustrating, and would actually contribute to the live reporting as well.
vultures attempt to shut down the expo spawning in at 7 but are cleaned up by dragoons, Reach is now on 5 bases while fOrGG still is on 3. He is putting up a CC i think at 5 now

I think Reach has a really good chance to win or at least do well vs Jaedong since it's Colosseum. Colosseum allows for Sair/Reaver and Reach used to have really good Sair/Reaver.

In Anytimes interview he said he believes Reach can all kill. But even if, theres still Casy to kill Jaedong, thought I wouldnt be suprised if jaedong 5 pooled him, but then again bein like 0-5 vs him surely hes bound to win...should be interesting.

Reach used to Sair/Reaver every game back in the day (from what I remember, the main games that come to mind are him sair/reavering each PvZ in WWI (or was it Blizzcon) and a pretty neat game vs YellOw on one of the Blizzcon maps).
If ACE actually wins today, I will go crazy.... seeing how my prediction has been wrong again... I need some major liquibets so I can top #1 soon... dammit..
Sorry to ask, but is Estro the worst team in WL so far? I'm asking because it's cool to see ACE not in last place. If ACE beats Oz they will be so awesome.

Yeah think so then. It's the one where Reach got out a Reaver and target fired his own Zealot to kill Lurkers with splash damage cause he didn't get out Observers yet.

dude Destination is a T favoured map and it makes perfect sense sending a Terran against jaedong on there. I believe Medusa would be a better map to send Anytime out.

Sunny? That makes no sense. When(not if) Sunny loses Anytime will have to play Jaedong on Medusa. And even if Anytime wins, playing PvT on Harmony's is problematic.

wow, regardless of the outcome of this game, my hat is off to Sunny... I have a lot of respect for ACE players and this guy is playing the game of his life right now, regardless of the outcome.
I have SO much respect for Sunny now. His play wasn't great but he gave it his all and gave Jaedong a game to remember (Jaedong is usually calm and collected and a few times when they cut to his booth he was like O_O).
Dunno if i'm the only one that thinks or sees it this way but looking at the game I couldn't see many mistakes from JD (for some reason he just seemed to have few units?) yet i saw a lot from sunny (not stimming to run to JD which might have caused him to win.. to losing vessels everywhere)..
Yet such a close game.... i think its just harder to notice a zergs mistake (unless of course its a mass suicide).
Not trying to cheer for anyone but I definitely think Sunny lost because of mistakes he made rather than great play by JD... just looked so obvious seeing as to how many times the game might have been different

jaedong's flanking decision when sunny's first push came out was not a very good idea
he leaked some units in the process and his flank never really happened
for a flank you need two sides. one side was across the two bridges, so i'm not sure why jaedong thought he'd take 90% of his army and bring it around the back, because I think he had time till defilers came out
it could be possible that it'd take too long for defilers. indeed, running your army back behind the bridges would have been the worst decision
imo, if defilers were gonna come out late, jd should have just sunked up at home so he can buy time + flank if terran got over aggressive and started coming in. but jd hates sunks, so o well

Now that they are unequivocally my favorite team due to new recruits and I watch all their games, it's so painfully apparent that the guys in ACE are really good at StarCraft, but just can't eek out the flawless mechanics of the kids these days.

Damn. Sunny almost had it. He kinda used the map (walls/minerals) to his advantage with medic walls etc to kill lots of zerglings with just few MM. Pity though =(
I think JD pretty much won cuz of superior economy + low vessel count. Sunny had no real counter to Ultraling Defilers with such low vessel numbers.

Kal's PvZ is looking good still. I didn't know that he lost to Hyuk and Luxury recently however. Since when has JD been slumping? His ZvT has been, not shaky per se but it's always seemed to be not invincible. It's been like that for two years now. He's lost to sunken breaks, early timing attacks, and from poor decisions he's made A LOT of times in ZvT. Hell, it was agaisnt a hot Hwasin and Flash anyway. If all three were at their prime, the matches would go either way in a boX imo.
I swear, the WL matches with ACE in them always seem to be the most entertaining. I wasn't even going to watch ACE, but switched over to hear that Reach was owning it up.

JD vs Sunny was unbelievable but Jaedong insists on not doing everything he can to figure out what his opponents are doing. Look at how unbelievable his late game play his, if he only worked really hard at reading his opponents and doing every scouting trick available (and he has the APM to do it), he would be near unbeatable.

Vs terrans he knows, he's gonna need an early lead and every mineral and drone he can get. He saves on scouting, sunkens, greedy as hell. Terran > Zerg on nearly every map right now. Greedy style is maybe wrong though, i believe he would win more without such savings.

What micro mistake are you talking about? JD was not prepared for Marines+Medics, he took 3 o clock thinking he was facing Mech, then Sunny came and made him cancel it. JD was late on Hive and defilers as a result and Sunny's push was really strong. This all could've been prevented if JD sent one ling into Sunny's natural after deflecting the vultures instead of just assuming he was going Mech.
Ah, we misunderstood each other. I should have specified that the game I was talking about was Jaedong vs Hwasin where jaedong lost too many lings in that initial try to kill the mnm which eventually led to him loosing his natural and the game.
On a side note Jaedong ties Jangbi for #4 elo with 2247 points. That’s nice to see as a JD fan. All-kill, Kal is gonna get raped today. At least something optimistic after the group of death.

No u right, he actually had a defiler when the T push was at his nat but I dont know if he had the consume. Anyway I think it got sniped.

sry about double post, but to see reach is winning again is SO great, after his 10 losses in a row ! Some could think he will finally completely disappear, but NO. he still can win games ! YAY

Maybe there are less distractions in the army. Or he doesn´t feel the burden of his stardom so much anymore, somehow feeling relieved from monstrous expectations. Or being in the army and having nothing else to do makes starcraft really fun again.

Actually Daezang and Oversky also started off with promising performance when they joined the team, iirc. Hopefully they don't fade away though, I'd love to see them giving a fight to anyone they encounter, and who knows

this happened last time during 2nd game of BO3 against Light
Light failed an early vulture drop and Jaedong thought he was way ahead. He proceeded to suicide his army into Light's nat thinking he'd just roll him.
I rarely watch proleague live but that Sunny vs Jaedong game was wild. Sunny may have well pulled it off if he hadn't needlessly let Jaedong snipe his science vessels over and over again.
Fuck. I feel soooooo sorry for Sunny. He had really really good chances. T.T would be so awesome if an Ace player beats JD. Oh well... lost too many vessels :[ Poor Sunny
it really was some inspirational play, you could see from all the close up shots of Sunny how hard he was playing, sweat was pouring from his face. Then the shots of Jaedong, usually cool, calm, and collected...not during that game though
