Bisu followed his 2 straight golds in MSL with a silver (loss to Mind in finals).

At the same time as his 2nd place finish in the GOMTV MSL 3, he finished 3rd in the 2007 EVER OSL. This is only a little less impressive than what sAviOr did. Also remember that Bisu lost in the semis of the following OSL, 2008 Bacchus, to the winner Flash. So his decline was not as sharp as sAviOr's, or some other previous champions.

After a short absence (2008 Arena MSL, 2008 EVER OSL), he was again back in the top 8 in Incruit OSL, losing to the winner Stork. And now he is in ClubDay MSL finals with a chance to win. Top 16 of Gom AI Classic as well, with that still going on. It's a really short dropoff and other than that he has basically been winning tournaments or losing to the player who does win it for 18 months! Really quite amazing.

I've got to say that this MSL has only been defined by disappointment in almost every outcome, and since Bisu has waaaay more fans that Jangbi, Jangbi has it in the bag.

This is also a battle of practice partners. Stork and Bisu both capitalize on fast tech units while Best and Jangbi both excel late game, although Best more for his macro and Jangbi for his eco harass.

I have a hard time seeing Bisu DT his way to victory against Jangbi.

'Jjang'bi wins 3-1 is my guess.

Im a Bisu fanboy. He is not a Bonjwa. Savior won 3 msl's, came second in two, and won an osl. That is far more impressive than Bisu's, even more considering he basically rolled over all his foes during and in between this period. His fall was dramatic. Bisu's was not- hell it was barely a fall. A Bonjwa however is not a player that is very successful in leagues, a Bonjwa is someone who is undeniably the best player of that time, dominating everyone, and winning multiple leauges left and right. Had he beaten Mind, Bisu would be candidate for Bonjwa. If Bisu wins this MSL and follows it up with an osl/msl victory, maybe then. Right now Bisu is looking to be a more successful version of Ra. As in, an extremely skilled protoss who can top leauges, but lacks that little extra level of dominance.

Hopefully he does earn the title of Bonjwa, but it wont be because of Clubday MSL.

actually other than the fe to corsair/dt build, Bisu is also most known for his late-game multitasking. Best and Jangbi are more of the mid-game macro-heavy type.

Bisu 3-1 Jangbi

Jangbi isn't even champion material like Bisu...besides..Bisu's PvZ is godlike and Jangbi isnt really famous for any matchups

um nope...Jangbi is known for his amazing large scale unit control [i.e late game]

Bisu 3-2 Jangbi.

Hes famous for his pvt and his pvz, and hes also famous for raping everyone offline, and yes, that includes Stork [who claims Jangbi is all but unbeatable]. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. Jangbi is one of the most skilled players out there, and once his nerves are conquered he will demolish everyone. 10-1 to the msl finals goes along way to vindicating that pronouncement.

Alright, these are good points. I definitely agree it will take more than 3 MSL's to make Bisu a bonjwa. If he wins ClubDay and the upcoming OSL, though, I think he has an argument.

Bisu is probably the best protoss candidate for a bonjwa out there. I'd love it if he stepped up to the plate for this one.

bisu was undeniably the best player of his time, but for maybe only 8 months. he was never a bonjwa just because of his longevity.

Actually, his decline was more sharp than Savior's if anything. You're forgetting that Savior made top 8 of the next two tournaments, then made top 4 at Gom 3 and nearly made finals against Bisu (losing 3-2, god that would have been so epic, fuck you Mind).

Savior: 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 2nd, top 8, top 4 (msl only)
Bisu: 1st, 1st, 2nd, eliminated in group stages, eliminated in group stages

Also, Savior's performance level from Pringles 1 to Shinhan 3 and Gom 1 was one of the, if not the, most dominating progaming performances ever. I believe oov may have been more dominating at one stage and thats it. It also appears to be the last such performance.

im really hoping for jangbi here
he has been playing like a beast lately, and it would be sick if he won, as i like the samsung players, even though for some reason, i dont like the team.
as well even after like almost two years, i still have not forgiven bisu for 3-0ing nal_ra in the gom tv semi finals.
ra is my hero, and im a ktf fan
the dreamer, mantoss, storm zerg, the cowboy, the spark terran, the ultimate weapon...what more can i say? GO KTF
