Karibik is a very well known Cocktailbar in Cologne and its said that you get the best Cocktails out of Cologne there. Additionally you can eat Thai food and some international meals. The prices are pretty good and the locations seems to be really cool! At least that’s what most of the people say who visit it!

Karibik is 2 miles (3 km) away from the WCG event venue. We can get there by foot, by train or by car.

Look people, this is Germany, the land of the free, as in you are free to drink everywhere and anywhere. You won't get carded at a Cocktailbar (which is the correct "German" term btw) unless you look like you're coming straight out of Kindergarden. And even then one just orders for the whole table and they won't care. If you're from a foreign country they'll care even less. I spend most of my teenage weekends getting hammered on cocktails until I realized how much better beer tastes.

o.O pls use some discretion with your handouts.. we did only reserve for 30 to 40 people and we already have 30. since this is a tl meetup, we would give preference to them and also to players.. but yea not so much for random stragglers. i dont think you were planning to do this but i just want to make sure =p.

That fuken site www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de is really usefull, but most of them are only german. Yesterday I wrote like 5-6 SMSs in English and nobody responded. Today I used my mad elementary school german skills coupled with google translate, and finally got the ride. Will we see how this goes.
O yeah, the trains are hell expensive (only 100e from berlin, todays price), and the fuken buses are almost exinct. WTF?

Just got back to the hotel. Was a lot of fun meeting a lot of you and I'm really looking forward to the next meeting!

Thanks to Kwark and his Gaytar Hero friend, for the nice conversations about some strange things,
to Tasteless, cuz he is in RL as cool as on stream and i teached him the most used german word
to Susi cuz he translated such a lot... And wow.. simply to everyone who was there... Im impressed by Draco and Strelok - cool guys.. And nony is much more mannerd and a nicer person than i expected :D
oh, by the way - thanks zuqbu for sending me and gregsen to the wrong direction ;P

I spoke to Rage a little bit and I was wondering if you were Artanis because the last time I saw him was like 3 years ago..? whatever. He told me you were Xeo and I was like uh okay and he said Artanis is way more ugly than you 8D. Was talking to other people at that moment and I kinda forgot :D
In the beginning I was sitting in the middle of the room pretty much with meneander (sp?) and konni (?). Was that you I was talking to in the beginning of the night? Because I just don't remember all the nicknames. I do recognize Konni though, I said I didn't because I thought you spelled it like connie or something like that =]
After that I guess I went around a bit, spoke to a lot of people whom I already knew somewhat. Spoke to nyovne and I had no idea he was Forsaken~[TUW] from the old days and he remembered me from some LAN tournament 8 years ago in Holland.. good stuff. Spoken to nazgul/pooruser a lot and puertorican came by. Introduced myself to draco/tasteless/nony and stuff and obviously hung out a fair bit with the ToT guys and Midian's British fanboys Shawn and David (Kwark) :D. Also hung out a fair bit with my colleagues from my pokerwebsite n stuff. I'm probably forgetting some people but w/e.
I don't think I met anyone of the graphics team heheh.
All the people I met were really nice though and I think the party was a success. Definitely interested in the pictures (!). I know that I am in some of them heh.

The UK team was playing some drinking games and one guy, a FIFA2008 player called Bazza, puked in the corner. Shaun (Apollo) said outloud to others that it was Bazza who puked and he should clean it up, and even though others, including our 2 team leaders had also said he should clean it up before he can drink anymore, Bazza got pretty annoyed. He then got up, walked up to where apollo was sitting and tried to punch him, he basically jumped on him and then scrapped a bit while a ton of people tried to pull them apart. Later bazza was crying in the hall because he was so embarrassed/ashamed of what he did. Anyway all was fine the day after, Bazza said sorry, they shook hands and since then it was ok.

It was great All the people I talked to were really nice. I remember talking to Twisted a lot, Nazgul, Grazze, JohnRambo, Maenander, some germans (IP.Trust was that you?), Gregsen, Tasteless, FireTemplar, and probably some others I forgot.
All in all there were so many famous players/TL people there. I really enjoyed that meeting.
I just remembered: There was a small soccer arena at WCG where you could play 1on1 in a circle with like 3-4m diameter. We were watching some random players there as JohnRambo came in and played a game. He was laughing the whole time, made fast moves and danced around to distract his opponent. It was fun to watch. Unfortunately he lost that match despite being faster. He just wasn't used to play soccer. But you could tell he plays soccer like he plays Starcraft
