Both with an orthodox TvT opening, 11 raxx and subsequent gas. Hwasin spawned bottom, fantasy on top in some beige-ish colour.

Factories started for both, still no real diversion in their BOs. Hwasin leaves his SCVs on gas while fantasy switches to single mode - so he might be expanding. Hwasin with a 2nd factory.

fantasy scouts the 2 facs. Now the pressure is on. Hwasin not only does 2 facs but also proxies a starport on the left side of the map. I don't think fantasy will anticipate wraiths. fantasy with his expansion halfway done by now and starts a starport. 2 machine shops for Hwasin.

Bunker going up at fantasy's expansion. Double upgrades going for Hwasin, probably dual vulture upgrades and he might attempt a runby.
Hwasin sending up 4 vultures. fantasy has a bunker and a tank.

Hwasin runs his vults into the main base. fantasy manages to disarm most of the mines. More vultures run in and disrupt mining at fantasy's natural.

Hwasin has researched cloak and is sending some wraiths into fantasy's main to harass the scvs there. Fantasy moves out to counter with some tanks and vultures but runs into a minefield that heavily damages his units - all are in the red actually. He arrives at Hwasin's natural and sieges up. Hwasin is recalling his wraiths to fend off this attack and snipes both tanks while they retreat.

Wraiths are back in fantasy's main and still harassing the SCVs there. No sign of resistance at the moment, a lonely Goliath is killed. This is basically over, fantasy has barely more than 10 scvs left.

Tanks are rolling out for Hwasin, he has his natural and main running and still 5 Wraiths keeping fantasy under control. Dropship coming too to exploit the flat ground behind the natural. Fantasy adding a 2nd fac at the moment.

generally his play is very timing/mechanics based. but when he can throw in this sort of strategical element into his arsenal, he becomes a much more formidable opponent.

Athena used to be rather imbalanced in favour of the Terrans, so lets see how this plays out.
Both with standard play so far. Raxx / Refinery and Gate / Assimilator inside their bases.

Ruby sets up a tower at his mainbase, but Tempest merely gets an observatory to his Robo in order to control the map. A scouting SCV is promptly shot down.
Ruby sending a first push, Vulture, 3 tanks, some marines and SCVs.

Tempest has maybe 8 goons at various places and an observer. As Ruby moves in, Tempest flanks with goons and manages to kill all tanks. mines are damaging him a little, but Ruby's push is dismantled.

Some scouting vultures find a nexus building at the 7 expansion. Goons come to save it, Tempest setting up 2 more gates.
Goons are a bit slowed by mines on their way, but the Nexus will definitely finish.

Ruby is now on five factories, Tempest has added a citadel. Ruby looks willing to set up yet another push towards the protoss - maybe he is a little impatient here.
Ruby is also expanding a second time, at the 5 o clock expansion below his naturall. The Protoss blob is growing.
Some vultures go to harass the expansio nat 7 but a pylon wall is holding them off.

Still no second gas going up for Tempest, seems like he wants to go Zealot heavy soon and just overrun Ruby with that. 2nd expansion done for Ruby now.

Maybe the zealots were abit too late here, many goons die before they enter combat. Ruby BARELY holds his ramp against some leftover goons and cleans out the Zealots with his vultures.

Ruby harasses 7 again, this time tempest forgot proper observers and takes some damage from mines on the way. Ruby expanding again. Although the attack by Tempest looked scary he might have cut a few probes at his natural by the looks of it.

Tempest is not expanding fast enough however, unlike RuBy, I think he relied on razing his army with that attack...

Ruby is definitely ahead by economy now and the pure zealot play by Tempest will lose its drive quickly. He has set up some gas by now but Ruby has a formidable army again and is finally getting armories for some upgrades.

it's 3 vs 3 expos atm, Tempest needs at least one more AND upgrades.

A flock of vultures descends on a group of goons traversing the middle of the map, but the mines do minimal damage and many goons are left.
Again a BUNCH of zealots up for Tempest who is also getting a tribunal. Ruby looks ready to take yet another base, his income will be scary soon.

Ruby is attempting to harass with vultures but does a terrible job on it. Tempest is loading up some temps in a shuttle. Ruby has a scifac and a starport nearby, so Vessels are imminent.

Tempest takes another base near 6. a HUGE army by Ruby is moving out. THEY CLASH. The Tank position looks too tight, but the protoss army just MELTS under tankfire.

Tempest sending out an Arbiter, probably for recalling, towards Ruby's main. His natural is under siege.
Maybe it was just a fake, Ruby is still planting mines in his base.
Funny situation: Arbiter dies from turret fire, AFTER that an EMP hits the wreck of the protoss ship.

Ya, but it showed that he cut some economy for this initial run, since he was not replacing nearly as fast as Ruby was after that first battle. And the timing for his zealots to enter the battle was clearly off.

Both playing very secure, Ruby with 4 dropships dropping to hwasins 5 and 6 but gets rolled by mass tank / dropship force by hwasin
Map is basically split in 2 and now a dropship war is going on
Hwasin drops Ruby's main but doesn't do much damage and is stopped by Ruby's dropship force
Ruby counters with his dropships to hwasins bottom expos takes like 15 scv but hwasin comes and saves the bases with dropships full mostly of goliaths

Hwasin attacks and breaks bottom killing one of rubys expos, it seems that Ruby is far behind in supply

Hwasin's macro was downright scary by the end of the game.
Looks like he engaged his forGG macro mode when he got bored playing with Ruby, and then proceeded to beat the crap out of him.
If only Hwasin always played that well. Yhis guy deserves a major title with all the brilliant micro tricks and Bos he has pulled during his career.
