basically what happened was that bisu appealed and asked jaedong to move fantasy out of his group because progamers try to avoid having to team members in the same group for obvious reasons

jaedong decided to switch fantasy with hwasin because he finds it convenient to have to prepare for only vs T in the 2nd game on the dual format, and switching with another T would have been too complicated because of more same-team problems, etc.

Very classy. I am impressed.

Sorry for newb question, but what's wrong with same team? Didn't Jaedong play BackHo in the OSL group? Also, why didn't Jaedong switch Bisu with a T so he would have an easier group?

MInd clearly has the easiest group. I think Kal is pretty easy too. I don't think Flash's is too easy. I wouldn't be surprised too much if Kwanro takes a match off him. Yarnc ain't too bad either.

ForGG ain't no pushover i expect him to crush Kal or atleast a GG , Mind's group is kind of easy the others seem unpredictable. Even Flash's group could make an upset , Yarnc and Kwanro are no low level zergs .

Players practise against team members and of course, the team wants the most players to advance in starleagues. So playing each other in an elimination is undesirable.

Jaedong Backho was not decided by the team / players and was just an unlucky grouping by OSL staff.

if you have two players in the same group in a dual-tournament format, there is a high chance that you will help eliminate one of your teammates, preventing them from advancing to the next round. that is obviously a bad thing, to do an own-team kill.

as for why jaedong played backho, it is because the current OSL's Ro32 is BEFORE the Ro16 group selection ceremony, so right the now the groupings are based on seeds, not by the players' choices.

1st group of death - I wont be surprised if Bisu goes out, JD should make it, Hwasin - maybe, Frozean - no chance.

2nd group of death - any of the tosses has its chances most probably anytime and free should make it out.

3rd group Kal & ForGG

4th Mind will own, Memory and Calm will fight for the second spot

5th - weakest group Nada & Shark/GF probably, but anyone can make it.

6th - FBH and Light/Savior (probably Light)

7th - Another strong group Luxury should make it out vs 3 terrans alongside Sea probably.

8th - The zergs here can put pressure on Flash but he should be able to handle it. Flash/Kwanro is my pick.

Final - Kwanro vs Kal and Kwanro will own

These groups are awesome! In group A we have the Bisu vs. Jaedong revival, with the option of having once more a Hwasin vs. Bisu grudgematch and a Jaedong vs. Frozean PL finals rematch. Group F has the infamous FBH vs. Savior rematch, a Light who wants to prove himself and a poor fantasy in the middle of it. At least Savior does not have to practice that many matchups.

Really looking forward to A and F.
