I agree. July kept on loosing units carelessly, wasting his gas on scourge, gua that didn't do a thing, etc. while NaDa kept his cool and slowly worked his way back into the game. Very well played from him despite the early disadvantage, also scary micro (his macro wasn't perfect, but it was still very good).

core coming for both. and the first variation in builds. violet gets an earlier assimilator at his nat. starts a robotics in his main as well. backho instead opts for citadel. DTs would be a bad choice, cause backho has ob coming soon. but if he does a 3-4 gate speed zeal attack. he might be able to catch violet offguard.

templar archives coming for backho as well as robotics. looks like a DT drop. violet has observatory and is getting a citadel. both players very passive. archives for violet as well, and + 2gate for 4. backho still with only 2 gates. cannoning his mineral lines. shuttle moving out for backho now. looks like ht/dt. or 2ht/2dt. violet seems to have seen it or is psychic. he prepares his goons for drop. shuttle is turned away. +4 gate for backho for 6. violet also cannoning his mineral lines now. ht drop at violet's nat, but it doesn't kill any probes.

BackHo screws a one dt one HT drop majorly, losing it all and barely killing a few probes. Violet counters as soon as his own first 2 DTs and HTs are out ,heading for BackHo with a 4 GW pumped major force (BackHo was on 2 GW just recently added another 4).

both players taking their mineral only now. violet still 4 gate. backho has 6. goon range for backho now. he's got few goon, mostly zeal/templar. violet's army is goon/zealot/ht and 1 DA for feedback?

violet starting cannons at top left, going to take that as well. backho moving through mid with zeal/temp/dragoon. but violet's army looks like it'll be able to take it out. backho takes bottom right as well. violet moving towards 12, but backs off. 8 gates for him. 2 forges up grading. backho with +3 warping in for 9.

both players with pretty big armies, but refusing to engage. violet's DA feedbacks 3 hts of backho's army and they all go down. nicely done by violet there. maybe we'll see more DA usage in future, cause this pvp is going to be decided by unit composition/upgrades/and storm.

That DA proved to be very useful...that -3 HT decided the ensuing big battle in Violet's favor, just barely (he got reinforcement zeals just in time, he would have lost everything otherwise, especially if he didn't feedback those 3 temps before).

the 2 armies engage. and it ends evenly. both players losing basically their whole army. violet taking 12 base and securing it with cannons though. if he's successful he'll be ahead in the long run. the DA of violet has 4 kills. both players just running around with huge armies again now. they engage again. some good storms by violet and he forces backho to retreat, but he doesn't push the attack. they engage again after regrouping and reinforcing, and this time violet comes out significantly ahead, but once again, he retreats.

Violet's 4 hero zealot drop kills like 7 units from BackHo as he's carelessly sending them in one by one

Next huge battle BackHo RAPES Violet's forces and proceeds on razing the 12 expo, evening out the odds (having a significant advantage now imo, he really devastated Violet's whole army while sustaining like 3 ctrl units himself).

violet has 12 base up so he's just content with sitting and letting his 1 base advantage reap some rewards. another huge engagement now. strangely violet loses the battle, and his 12 base falls. not looking good for violet. he just lost a number of probes. now backho goes for 6 which violet was in the process of cannoning up and takes that out. backho's army significantly bigger than violet's now though.
