Either way, come on Sharp, you need to save the SOOP!

+ Show Spoiler + I wonder why he didn't go for the 3rd tho where he'd have two angles to attack. Sunkens in the nat + lings would always have been up. Now early 3rd. Long game incoming. Damn! What an anti-timing on that drop. 4th up tho.

From a fairly poor position, Sharp played fairly well against ultra defiler, so maybe there's hope for a proper long game?

You get maybe one of two good timings against the Zerg with that build and hero was too good.

IMO the main issue was that Hero made scourge as soon as his spire finished, and they got microed to death. He popped those scourge because he didn’t have the minerals for mutas, which happened because he had to make and cancel buildings to save drones, plus moving drones around to try and keep them alive. To answer your question, Zerg has to play conservatively until it’s ruled out that something like the 3port build is incoming. You can get burrow pre-emptively so it’s ready shortly after the first wraiths hit, which lets you save your drones; if the wraiths never come, you can just cancel burrow. Or, you could delay your third hatch to make sure you have the minerals to pop 6 mutas when the spire finishes.

Overall, this season has been fairly low-key outside of Speed's surprising performance. Some disappointing results from my ro16 hopefuls including Mini and Jaedong, and then Light ate his own socks. As much as I love SoulKey and think he's heavily favored against everyone, I'd love to see Sharp take it all. Not even a huge Sharpie fan, just think it'd be hype. And SoulKey get's a silver. Something tells me that if Sharp were to win, he'd subsequently fade into the mist like Larva did.

Wraith final was so based. He fumbled initially meeting the scourges but the next time he just microed against it. It was perfect

And then we have a finals worthy semi on one bracket, and sharp vs rain in the other. Is rain the heavy favorite after his latest comp stomp? Sharp was the underdog vs hero, his homework vs rains disgusting talent has to give fireworks.

Sharp should be the clear favorite, but he's not better than Rush, even in TvsP, is he? Rain's weakest match up vs Sharp's strongest match up, and Sharp is in better shape right now... Let's be honest, Rain sweeped Rush mostly with BO wins... Sharp in 6.

And it is weird, I am used to rooting against him, I am a protoss main and usually root for protoss players. And I get so annoyed when they keep letting Sharps vultures kill their workers, everytime! That is Sharps superpower in TvP, if you play against Sharp, tighten up your vulture defense, make an extra cannon or two. It is so frustrating to see Protoss players lose against something so predictable! Adapt to you opponent! You can out-macro and out-scale Sharp even if you spend some extra minerals on a few extra cannons! But I've also liked Sharps TvT and stuff and this season I have just been so impressed by him and his celebration of joy at the end of this serious just put me over the edge, I am rooting for a Sharp victory this season even if he faces Snow in the finals. We've had to many Terran tournament wins but man, Sharp is bringing joy to my heart this season!
