It's for a good reason: to get JD the best chance to advance. Almost every season he was paired with the weakest non-Terran tier 2 player (mostly Shine and Shuttle). There are 5 Zergs in Ro24 and 6 groups. But they have to put two Zergs in one group. That tells you everything.

I think Shine got a bit nervous and made those spores, it sets him back if both decides to play defensively until they have massive amount of mutas, in which JD would be ahead. Shine had a slight advantage at the beginning going 12 hatch vs JD 11 hatch, and blocked JD's ling attacks but was unable to find the overlords with his early mutas to keep the advantage. Was a great ZvZ nevertheless. Shine would’ve won if he moved into JD’s main when JD’s mutas were at his third. Just didn’t commit. Easy to say though when you can see the whole map I guess.

Anyway, 3 cannons close to the forge-line and no cannons in depth -- protoss loses to the first wave of hydras. The group is playing out as it is supposed to, no upsets or surprises in the results. This is why I don't like "normal" groups and wouldn't like Bo3 matches in Ro24. It's not entertaining, it's long, and boring to have every group play out with the least amount of standard deviation It was the other OL who gave him vision, coming from the south
