I mean hardcore BW fans have legends of that game still playing and lots of established characters. I’m not sure how much interest in that space there would be for an SC2 player trying to build themselves up. Apparently MC is pretty damn good, on the outskirts of ASL qualification good but I don’t know if she streams. Plus there’s always the possibility that the current SC2 crop either prefer SC2 over BW, or prefer the SC2 structure over BW’s. | ||

He's under the flag of the JSA university (one of the more popular SC universities). He also worn their T-shirt at Gamers8 if anyone noticed. He's Joker tier (lower than Scan - for comparison) - so not particularly strong. The thing is, transitioning from SC2 progamer to SC1 streamer is not that simple. If you're as good as Fantasy, it's pretty easy. You have a big fanbase already who will follow your stream no matter what, and you'll slot right in Major Proleague where the highest earners are. But if you're at MC's level, you'll get murdered even in K-League, so Proleague is not the way. The best way is to join one of the universities, do coaching for female streamers, participate in uni activities. For that you'll need a bit of talent in variety streaming, and some connections. And available spots are limited as well. So it's not that straightforward. Last year, Dear also made the transition. Couldn't qualify for ASL. He was in the Basford univ (Best as president), but after the university disbanded he kinda vanished from the SC1 scene. I think he's back to SC2 now. | ||

So he had a solid pre-SC2 foundation. A lot of sc2 pro in Korea were already around for BW during Kespa but the younger ones not and so it d be hard for them to be relevant in BW in Korea. SC2 popularity is very low and few fans would transfer over. Since fans who both like sc2 and bw probably already have other BW players they prefer. For foreigners, it s not obvious the skills would transfer enough to be worth it in the korean system of streaming, little money in the "western" system outside China. | ||

I think he's back to SC2 now. dear won a jack tier tournament beating scan horang and hiya. after that he wasnt making enough money so he quit. TY has been in multiple qualifiers finals. True has been playing as BTS. Hyun and Ruin are from sc2 too. | ||

If they fancied, think TY dabbled a bit that I watched Just dunno if the interest would be there audience wise for someone like Maru or Gumiho who are SC2 players first and foremost learning BW properly | ||
