That was a crazy game. Insane defense by Best, but Action had some really questionable descision making there. Really felt a few times, especially after that first drop, that he could've made a 4th/5th and gone hive to win instead of making 500 supply of hydras that got killed by maelstrom/storm

He had like 10 opportunities to just kill the darchon. He severely underestimated it.

I'm pretty new to watching BW, can someone explain how Action lost g2? He looked SO far ahead especially after no-cancel killing Best's third. Watching BW is so confusing sometimes, it's like I think SC2's logic applies...

He kept attacking with many hydras clumped up and Best was prepared for that old mistake.

I think the short answer is bad decision-making by Action.

Instead of consolidating his advantage by expanding or teching, Action kept trying to go for a killing blow. Best correctly read the drops and the attacks and his unit splits were close to perfect.

best went for the +2 armor +1 weapon snow pvz upgrade style. at some point he went double forge and now he's +3 weapon, +2 armor, +1 shields. interesting.

edit: +2 shields now! (3-2-3) i feel like the shields upgrade is often neglected in pvz where archons are so important

I still think if Best has 6 upgraded corsairs that he keeps alive throughout the game he auto-wins this map.
