Sharp was saying he wanted to eventually set up a K-League All Stars vs. Major Proleague All Stars match but he was having trouble figuring out the fifth K-League member (after Sharp, Effort, Rain and Stork), I think Action slots in easily as the 5th member (potential Major Proleague All-Star lineup: Bisu, JD, Light, Soulkey or Soma and Shuttle [for entertainment purposes]) | ||

The most striking thing of October is, once again, the funding of Proleague. If it was unprecedentedly high in September (average ~ 20M per player), it was even more so in October (average ~ 30M per player). Just look at Rush earning more than $30k in a month from winning 25 out of his 48 games in MPL. That's more than $1k per win. Damn. Back to the game, the star of October is none other than Soma with a 62% win rate, 5 MVP performances including 2 all-kills (and in 2 consecutive days nonetheless). His fellow Zerg player and ASL Champion Soulkey is also in a high position, the #4 spot, although he practically is #3, since Rain only played a handful of games in the MPL before going back to park in the K League with Effort and Sharp (who almost didn't play MPL at all).Now if you look at the other side of the table, all of Hero Queen and Jaedong are once again in the bottom 5. The tier 1 Zerg lineup is pretty much now divided into two sub-tiers: the young (and better) one and the old (and worse) one. As for Protoss, they seem to have a difficult month. When your best Protoss of the month is Best (at position #5), you know something is wrong. Snow after dominating the table for 4 straight month, suddenly dropped to the bottom 4 with a mere 44% win rate. We will have to wait and see if it's just a one-off or he's going to have a long slump. But talking about slump, Mini had a huge one at the beginning of the month just right before his ASL finals. He was at 25% win rate for the first half of October, but then his form picked up towards the end and with an all kill three days ago he got his win rate back to exactly 50%. Needless to say, Shuttle is at the bottom of the table again.On the contrary, the Terrans had a strong month with Royal at #2 in the table and Light with the second most MVP performances and Rush with the most money earned (lol). JYJ also is doing pretty well in the MPL in recent months (he was more like a K League level player in the fisrt half of the year). Note that Mind also played a bit of MPL at the beginning of October but after suffering a record of 1-7 he went full time in K League as well. | ||
