Can't believe I missed this live, in fact I missed the whole news of Flash retiring. But what a great and triumphant ending for his career. GGs Flash

I agree. Probably Soo too (he was breaking out before switching to SC2). Flash is without equal but it’s a shame many of his strongest competitors never came back to BW.

Didn't Jangbi come back for awhile and then left to manage his family business?

He came back for a while during SSL in 2014/15, lost to Larva in one of those (can't remember if he played in more than one SSL atm), then eventually "left" and then came back and made that statement about leaving the scene for good and wanting to continue the family business instead. It's too bad, but if he wasn't motivated to try and make it as one of the best Protosses, there's not much that can be done.

I flew to Korea to watch this finals, and it was an enthralling experience. Despite the one-sided result, it was a beauty to watch Flash play his god-level TvP, the matchup that initially launched him to fame, on the biggest stage for the last time. What a great way for the greatest player of all time to go out.

Afreeca really puts a lot of work into the production quality of the ASL and I'm really grateful that there is still this level of dedication to BW in 2019. The passion that goes into this game was palpable when I was sitting in the stands. I wish I could better articulate how lucky I feel to have been able to experience this moment in BW history.

Congratulations, I'm happy it was an awesome experience for you.
You got to see Flash's final official bow. A complete 4-0 domination as it should be tbh, that's current Flash, and that's what you got to see, and you are right to be grateful, I envy you could see that live Amazing.

The KSL should be a considered a premier BW tournament as well, shouldn't it?

I mean, Flash didn't join any of the seasons did he?
But still, that is the one title he "lacks".

I could have edited and said "premier tournaments" that he entered. KSL is a high profiled tournament for sure.
But this is just academic. Flash didn't play in any of the KSL's, and while I really enjoyed watching KSL,
if the absolute best choose not play in a championship, then your statement is debatable^^

One could argue there are reasons beyond the tournament profile behind such decisions in the streamer era.

Your argument is still valid, of course.

I understand your point about KSL. However, given its prize and player pools there are certainly some reasons to call it a premier tournament. Not to mention that it listed as such in liquipedia.
More importantly, if we assumed that KSL cannot claim to be a premier tournament, then GOMTV Classic can hardly be called one either. In season 1, 5 pro teams did not send their players to participate, in season 2, 3 pro teams did not send any of their players, and in season 3 there were again several pro teams that did not let their players participate. Most notably, SKT did not let their players compete in seasons 1 and 3 of GOMTV Classic.
