If you saw Action's game today, I'm not sure you'd call him a pro There's no doubt that BW is in a more amateur state than before, and its nice to see a return to crispness of that previously.

Only argument that you could make is that there is now a smaller percentage of pros who are at that level than it used to be during KeSPA days, and that there's a possibility that it if the KeSPA scene continued, the current pros would be at an even higher level than they are now. Both of these sound very likely to me, but not something that we should be concerning ourselves with.

Not true. Especially in terms of mechanical prowess that is more dependent on hardcore practice, I have heard multiple streamers such as Bisu, and BeSt mention that their mechanical ability was superior back in the past. PianO once commented on the issue the most aptly in my personal opinion: "It is true that the meta-game has advanced compared to the past. However, let's imagine that we take the two best players from each of the three races right now, and make them play a hundred matches versus the very best players of the past. Who do you think will win? I personally think that the streamers of today will have the upper hand initially (the first ten games or so), but after that, the KeSPA professionals will have time to adjust to the meta-game advancements, and they will pull ahead. The meta-game advancements alone won't be enough to make up for the huge difference in terms of practice hours."

There's a crispness of play that only comes with arduous training and that intensity constant competition brings. There's no doubt to me that Snow has played better in the past week than he has during the ASL off season, and its not simply because of the occasion. I doubt his core skills were ever as honed as they were during KeSPA, and that quality of play is what I observed in Snow's game versus Larva- the antithesis of some of the sloppy stuff that you might've seen from him in February.
