Bisu vs Mind first game on Crossing Field was fantastic. Bisu defended that attack so well. His carrier micro wasn't too shabby either. Those double reaver in the winners' match against Shuttle were also sick. I thought that Shuttle for sure had it but had to rewind once his army melted and Bisu came out with such a large army T.T

Really glad that Mind made it! A while back, one of his only donors told him that he'll stop donating so losing in the Ro16 then must've been devastating. Also, he beat sSak and Shuttle really hard. Shuttle looked like he had no chance despite some stellar micro early on. Congrats to Bisu and Mind!

On that map you can harass with 2zeas+1goon on the back base while poking the T at the ramp with goons, so I thought he wanted to suggest that, but then, there was no point of keeping it near the robo...

Did he hide the reaver tech and then realize he wanted Mind to make a lot of turrets to delay a possible push since he was going carriers and the reaver was for defensive purposes (and later to use it in conjunction with the carriers)?

Just curious what was the metagame there. If any.

Also, Bisu's plan was to catch the T on the high ground but Mind dribbled the reaver and went another path, that could've costed bisu the game. Amazing micro.

On Jangbi's 'leaving the army' thread here people were discussing if he was the best PvTer ever or not I mentioned how Jangbi was much better than any toss at using the reaver to defensive purposes, he'd double expo and go reaver tech and still defend such pushes, Bisu pulled a Jangbi here.

2 tanks were joining the party and Bisu couldn't macro during that battle since the micro was way more intensive for the toss there. Amazing stuff.

That fight was a pimpest play right there. I was watching the game with my buddies on a huge 107 inch screen and we were all screaming in disbelief. Enormous reaver micro.

And I thought pulling a JangBi was pushing with goons and carriers at separate expos and killing both bases or something like that? Or it's just any amazing PvT play?

I don't think it was anything special, reavers do pretty well vs unsieged tanks. I'm not sure why Mind didn't siege, he must have had it at that point. It's practically suicide when attacking into reavers.

What? He had 6 marines, 2 vults, 5 tanks and two more were close to join the fight and he caught bisu with 4 goons, 2 zeas and a reaver on a shuttle on a favorable position of the map. If that was nothing special then... Not sure what to say. And it was not 'reavers'. It was one reaver. Two reavers are much better and much easier to micro there because they instantly kill a tank and you can just keep switching the reavers. taking one, dropping another and so on and so fort.

Also, on why he didn't siege... That was a timing push. He wanted to get at the choke point to siege up. If he kept sieging Bisu would pick the furthest siege one by one. That'd be much easier. Also,Bisu would've time to macro. As you can see on my screen shot he had accumulated 1100+ minerals very early on the game, his newest gates weren't producing units.

If mind delayed that Push he'd be ran over by Bisu's production, lose every tank and then be stuck with 3 bases trying to make tanks while also being forced to make liaths to deal with carriers.

That was some amazing micro by Bisu, truly top notch. He managed to survive a situation that a lot of protoss players would lose imo.
