i would think savior wants to have some secret strategies and builds saved for the OSL grand final against a formidable opponent on even more formidable maps. i would think he would try to dismiss hwasin and iris as generically as possible so as not to resort to his hoarded strategies. during the first few games vs Iris i especially noticed savior played sloppily, and his facial expression was one of boredom. i think from the familiarity he had with Iris it was hard for him to summon motivation against an opponent he knows well and should dominate in stageplay. these errors and the imbalanced maps gave Iris plenty of opportunity. When savior lost game 4 he was *fully* motivated and into the match, no more saving strategies for nada, no more complacent raping of a team mate, the score is now 2:2 and the tiebreaker is on a horrible zvt map. if you compare saviors play from game 1 of the series against iris to game 5, you will see the difference in this man between when he is motivated and when not. completely behind and in a losing position, on a imbalanced map, he did the impossible multiple times in that game. i just hope there are enough balanced maps in the finals to give this man a chance, he summoned a matrix like performance to steal a win from iris on a horrible map, but that was no normal performance, he went into a zone that there is no reason to beleive he could ever re-enter. i think if he beats nada somehow, if he over comes unbalanced maps and pulls off the win then i wouldn't be surprised if he has a slump like oov. to play a game like game 5 and possible games we will see in the finals are something that can only happen when an sc god is chasing down his first ever OSL title. he is so motivated right now we saw it manifest into some kind of miracle. i'm almost scared to see what will happen in the finals, the combination of savior's skill and burning motivation with nada's own determination and the imba maps are an explosive mix. give this man an osl then keep him away from sc for a while, this is all just too crazy. P.S. i'm just happy this isn't nada's 'gold mouse' osl then the amount of motivation in the room during finals day would just incinerate the crowd .... | ||
