I will agree your statement about Killer. However, there was little known about the shape of Effort before this match and I argue still is. All our knowledge is based off kespa hype until we see him compete in another two tournaments. It's like all the people saying Last has the best TvT. That's just riding hype. Sea losing here is an upset.

Sea losing here is an upset. what is watching effort's afreeca stream (ok nvm IRL matters eh) i watched both of effort and zero's stream and i would say im much more impressed with effort's continued effort to improve his macro and the glimpses of genius that can be seen occasionally with his play. zero is very good but during games his mentality seem to deflate easily with some setbacks and he has that tendency to choke in the important games (eg. his semi against kwanro in ksl). thats why i don't really like him as a player. and the general gist i feel (that many others in korean and chinese communities also concur) is effort has better overall mechanics than zero. Even though he still loses a lot, sick mechanics plus some beastly tactics and genius moves making him very satisfying to watch for any 1v1 purists, just like bisu. the chinese fan didnt gave him 10000 balloons for nothing ytd.

Definitely good points.I'm not saying Effort is this case, but there are people who are better ladder then tournament players. I believe Larva is one of those people. I like to see how players perform in tournament settings before I make my judgements, but again that's just my preference. It is very exciting that Effort is translating his performance on stream to results in the tournament setting. I have no doubt he is in competition for the top Zerg spot. I hope he can solve ZvT in a more consistent manor then Modesty who has all but fallen off the map since his run early last year. I also agree with your statements about Zero's mentality. This is a problem he hasn't solved since KESPA days.

You see him doing funny stuff/eat/sleep on stream sometimes, even occasionally playing other games like H1Z1 in contrast effort is almost 100% BW games no nonsense

The post-KeSPA/Afreeca scene really needs a few reliable ZvT counters... not sure how hard ![]() ![]() It was great to see ![]() ![]()
