Liquipedia: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Arcania_Starleague Arcania Starleague is a new rank restricted tournament intended for players from D- through the C+ ICCup ranks similar to the more familiar Crimson Starleague tournaments of the recent past. This tournament specifically will feature some minor adjustments to the tournament structure and every player wishing to participate should read both the tournament rules and structure even if they are familiar with similar tournaments held previously. I have tried to write everything out very clearly anticipating any questions or problems that may come up but if something is not clear just ask and I will clarify. Ro32 (bo1) – The Arcania Starleague will begin with a Ro32 regardless of how many people register for the tournament. Any slots unfilled will be treated as walkover slots and sorted into groups just as a regularly filled player slot would be. The Ro32 will feature the very familiar format with a paired match leading into winners, losers, and tie-breaker matches. The top two players in each group will move on to the Ro16.
Ro16 (bo1) – The Round of 16 will feature four groups of four players and will follow the same format as the ro32 with winner/loser games and then a tiebreaker to determine who advances in second place. Everything will be bo1.
Ro8 (bo5) – Group stages breakdown here and a single-elimination bracket format begins. The players will be seeded so each Ro8 match contains a player that finished first and a player that finished second from the previous round. Both players will be able to veto a map from the tournament map pool.
Ro4 (bo5) – This is literally the same thing as the Ro8 with half as many players.
Finals (bo7) – The entire map pool will be used and one person will be declared the winner! :D + Show Spoiler [Big Picture] +

Players may reschedule their games to an alternative time either before or after the default scheduled game time; however, the replay submission deadline will not be extended.
Walkovers may be claimed 20 minutes after the default scheduled game time.
Any players who have not submitted their replays or claimed a walkover within 24 hours of the default scheduled game time will be walked over.
Players may not play more than one race during any single week of the tournament.
Players may change their race for the following weeks games but must give notification of their intent to change races by the current week's replay submission deadline.
All games must be played on the ICCup server with Anti-Hack enabled.
Any reasonable belief by the tournament admin of cheating (such has stream ghosting, hacking, etc) will likely result in immediate disqualification from this tournament as well as any and all of my future tournaments.
Any game played on an improper map will result in the game being replayed. All rules are subject to change and exceptions may be made at the administrator's discretion.
First Place - $55 Second Place - $30 Third Place - $15 Total - $100
As with any other tournament, you may reschedule your games with your opponents as necessary. Remember that replays must be submitted to arcaniastarleague@gmail.com within 24 hours of the default scheduled play time even if you reschedule your games.

I knew about it but I was kind of lazy at the time of writing this. I'm adding to it every once in a while lolol I typed it up in word but some of the TL formatting was iffy. You always start noticing things after it's posted. ;p
ICCup Username: Splax Maximum ICCup Rank: C+, 8 years ago and I haven't played since then. The race you wish to play: Protoss Any other information you feel is relevant: Sero does not love you (who writes it like that anyway?). He will break your heart, but only if you give him the opportunity. Please, I beg anyone who sees this, don't trust his lies. And they are all lies, every word he says IS A LIE!
On December 27 2014 22:08 fearthequeen wrote: Is max rank determined by the highest rank you've ever "hit" or the highest rank you've ever finished a season at?
Excellent question. I would prefer if you posted the highest rank you have ever hit. If you lost a rank the very next game and never recovered you could mention that in the "Any other information you feel is relevant" part.
ICCup Username: flying[eMg] Maximum ICCup rank ever obtained: B- Race: Zerg (Hit B- ~6200 with mass games ~50% winrate but never finished a season above C+. Thanks for your time on this Arcania. One suggestion I have is to do the map vote some other way than a poll in this thread, involving just the actual players in the tour. Unless of course, you intended for the voted maps to be chosen by anyone with a TL ID who enters this thread.)
I'm pretty sure I know how the polls will go and I don't think changing the voting system or method would actually impact it too much but I will look into it.

It's a low rank tournament. Just rock that shit and have some fun.

Because this chat crafting keyboard warrior below me requested my max rank, even though he never plays and would never play me.
OP asked for max rank anyway. No need to create drama out of nothing.
Yea it is kind of a double edged sword regardless, I post my max rank and people will complain and say i'm lying, I don't post my max rank and people like Jealous will be Jealous.

That would be a somewhat logical statement, except the only thing is that since you are perma banned from all tournaments / leagues in BW foreign scene, your "opinion and reputation" is invalid in the first place.

The point I am making is that it is irrelevant to what I said, since all I did was ask whether or not you hit B ^^
Hello everyone, I have a quick question for everyone that is currently signed up, as well as to those of you that are considering signing up. Currently the wonderful D Ranks Individual Tournament is in registration and will be running with significant overlap from Arcania Starleague. The scheduling conflict seems to be causing people to be hesitant to sign up for this tournament. If I move the scheduled play and casting times to a later time that might help out a lot; however, I recognize those changes may be difficult for the European crowd which happens to be a significant portion of our current player base. We are currently sitting at around 20 registrants though and could use quite a few more.
Please give me your quick opinion on the matter.
Poll: Should the time be moved one hour later?
Yes (6)
100%
No (0)
0%
6 total votes
Your vote: Should the time be moved one hour later?
Some quick reminders and updates: The scheduled game time has been moved one hour later I gave the poll a few days to collect responses and nobody was opposed to moving the scheduled game time an hour later so I will be making that change. I will be moving the casting time at least an hour forward as well.
Some B- players signed up which was expected. My plan was to wait list them and allow them to play only if we don't get to 32 players. Right now we are sitting at a little over 20 registrants and with the later time we might fill.
Lastly, I will be looking at the results of the map polls when the registration deadline comes and the Ro32 maps will be decided then as well.
edit: The schedule in the OP is updated and that time information is now correct.

It's like riding a bike, you don't degrade that low...Unless for the entire year you were playing SC2.
So if i was playing sc2 for a year i will forget how to ride a bike ?!?!
Potentially yes, unless the next year you practiced riding a bike while playing BW on a laptop, that is the only way you would be able to repair this mental block.
On January 08 2015 22:29 puppykiller wrote: Iccup: Puppyklr[eMg] Max Rank: C Race: Is R with shouting ok? How bout pick based on opponent. If not then T.
Random is not ok (Even wth shouting). You can change your race but you need to give notice of roughly a week according to this rule:
Players may change their race for the following weeks games but must give notification of their intent to change races by the current week's replay submission deadline.
So for example, if you play T in the ro32 on Jan 17 and want to change races for the ro16 on Jan 24 you would need to tell me when you submit replays for your ro32 games by the 18th. This makes it clear to everyone what race everyone else is playing and they can practice for those games!
Sorry if that isn't as fun for you but I'll put you down as Terran. Let me know if anything changes.
This is basically the last call for registrants as well. If anyone wants to sign-up for the tournament we're closing in on the registration deadline as well. We have less than 24 hours remaining.

The player list is organized and updated into the OP. After triple checking the thread it looks like we had precisely 32 registrants so unfortunately I had to include the entire B- player pool.
Trutacz, Gotunk and that one guy from Minus) clan, you're probably out of the scope of the tournament but if I host any future higher rank/completely open tournaments you are more than welcome to sign up.
Although I made a significant effort to make sure I didn't skip over any players please double check yourselves as well because I may have still made a mistake. There is still time to make corrections but the player list in the OP is what I will be going with when it is time for the group drawings.
La Mancha and Electric Circuit are also the other two maps since they won the polls. I will update the OP in the near future.
I originally thought that the player pool was an even 32 players but after checking for the hundredth time I've realized that we actually do have 33 people and one person unfortunately needs to be removed. The registration system I used granted priority to those players with a max rank through C+ and then would pull from the wait list of B- players to fill up the remaining slots.
Unfortunately, fold was the most recent B- ranked player to sign up for the tournament and has been removed from the active player pool. Sorry again.
The player list in the OP has been updated.
Big thanks to SynC[gm]/Redaxis for his liquipedia skills. Our liquipedia page is near the top of the OP and I will do my best to keep it up to date.

EDIT : I think the best way to determine this is either with the dates on the B- for each of the players accounts or to let Fold and Sero to do a BO3 / BO5 to determine who will stay. I don't think this is fair to Fold...I guess I will be removed if Fold can't play.

First, I hardly think he was being condescending. The level of reading comprehension you displayed was by no means exceptional.
Secondly, your suggestion is not really fair at all. The thread has been open for a really long time. Fold registered within the last two days. Sero was one of the first people to post in the thread and the first to put down his registration information. Why are you singling out Sero anyway? Why not White, Xenosky, Wraith, or any of the other B- players that registered? That itself is hardly fair.
An argument could be made that I did not explain clearly what I would be doing with B- registrants until near the end and so he was hesitant to sign up. I would agree with that point but then still why are you going after Sero and not one of the B- players that signed up after i made that post on page four which would be the next step logically?
I will be removing you from my tournament though if you want and fold may take your place if he wishes to as well.
Just so both of us understand each other, are you requesting to be removed?

Obviously I wasn't just talking about the ONE post he just made, the level of reading comprehension you displayed just now was by no means exceptional.... I didn't look at the total list of registrants and I didn't think we had so many B- level players in this, I'll think about it...I just feel bad that you have to remove fold when I feel he is a staple member of the foreign BW scene.
EDIT : I'll give an answer by tomorrow or later tonight if that is ok....

The group format is the familiar style used in previous tournaments. If you need an explanation here is an example for group A: Game A: Radley vs Xenosky- Game B: amazingxkcd vs mca128launcher Game C: Winner of Game A vs Winner of Game B -> Winner of this game moves on to Ro16 Game D: Loser of Game A vs Loser of Game B Game E: Loser of Game C vs Winner of Game D -> Winner of this game moves on to Ro16

Thanks for adding these to the Liquipedia page! As well as the forum works for interacting, LP is usually much more helpful in organizing/visualizing things
If folks plan on keeping the LP page updated, I'd be glad to add it to the front page for easier access and to enable a wider audience
I'm a liquipedia noob but I plan on having that pretty current :p Dunno if its front page material though as a low ranks tournament. Lots of major events going on now that deserve it more
Organizing a tournament consumes a huge amount of time and effort. There's always an audience and interest for the foreign/amateur scene, especially with TL folks playing.
Just added Arcania to the front page under Ongoing Tournaments. It'll automatically appear in the list of online tournaments soon, as well
My predictions: group a: radley mca group b: wraith napoleon group c: puppykiller splax group d: fearthequeen dm-white group e: fold master_soul group f: n.genuity dazed_spy group g: mewka lightningstrike group h: depressedone artanis[xp]
puppykiller, splax, rulzbooom. i cant play at the time posted, is there any chance we can play sometime on friday? please PM via tl or add my skype. (killbotsc)
Group A: XenOSky and Radley Judging by Xeno's previous rank, I think he'll 2-0 the group easily. Radley is the Terratoss though, I think he can handle xkcd's 400 APM and his arch-nemesis mca64.
Group B: uPro)Wraith and DsT-Napoleon My bold prediction is that Wraith will be one of the finalist for this tournament, loved his style during Maroon Starleague and excited to watch him play again. Napoleon seems to be the next best player in the group in terms of mechanics, so I'll have him advancing too.
Group C: castle[eMg] and Puppykiller This group is rather hard to judge. All the players seem to be C/C+ or above, with Splax being B-, though he claims inactivity so that might even the entire playing field. I always put my faith in castle to make it out of group stages, but I'll cheer on my fellow Terran player, though it's incredibly hard to say who's coming out 2-1 from the group.
Group D: fearthequeen and ArtOfBlack Supposedly the group of death... Again, incredibly hard to predict who's advancing. I wanna say White can regain form, but I think flyingjelly staying active (?) will help him out through the group. ArtOfBlack is a technically sound Terran, and I think as long as he can handle a potentially sloppy White, he can advance from the group too. I dunno what a Sero is.
Group E: Fold and DarkNetHunter Fold is fold, and DarkNetHunter is DarkNetHunter. Fold will definitely be advancing, but I wouldn't be surprised if LTY gives DNH a hard time, especially if DNH hasn't been active like before Crimson 3.
Group F: N.geNuity and Dazed The reason I'm not saying Talent will advance is because he lost to Sero's Zerg.
Group G: Telecom and Mewka Seems to be a rather obvious skill discrepancy, to the dismay of the Terrans. I think if Gohan was active, he'd have a solid shot at advancing, but assuming he isn't, I'd have to say the Protoss have this group won.
Group H: Artanis[Xp] and Ty2 Artanis will advance via walkovers, and Ty2 will advance because he showed up late, and no one else bothered to show up.
Another prediction is that we will have 13 total walkovers this entire tournament, either due to not showing up for game time or late replay submission.
On January 14 2015 14:20 fearthequeen wrote: 2 predictions of Sero not advancing, haha...I guess you guys got some insider info or something.
You both picked Beggar not to advance too. On second thought you don't have any insider info and are just bad at predictions.
my predictions are counting walkovers and stuff. they're really next level. if talent showed up and practiced he would probably make it out but dunno. ;p
The Zerg Overmind has succeeded in invading the Protoss Homeworld of Aiur and has embedded itself into the crust of the planet.
Now, as the agents of the sinister Overmind spread chaos and destruction across the face of Aiur, the stalwart Protoss defenders prepare themselves for the coming onslaught.
Group A: XenOSky and Radley B- protoss in a group with two terrans and D+ zerg... radley should be able to take second place.
Group B: uPro)Wraith and DsT-Napoleon Wraith will take first in a one-sided fashion. Napoleon should be able to secure second rather easily, as well.
Group C: ??? I will skip predicting my group, but I just wonder: WHY does EVERYBODY pick puppykiller to advance? He is a terran in a 3-protoss group and is listed as C max-rank, which is lower than 2 of his opponents. What exactly am I missing?
Group D: Sero and fearthequeen That's basically impossible to predict. Any of those players in his best shape would be a strong contender for the title. However, recent activity suggests that only flyingjelly will be close to his peak, so I guess he would somehow go through. If I'd just roll the dice and say that Sero will win the group, but who knows.
Group E: Fold and DarkNetHunter Fold is far ahead of everybody in terms of skill and will dominate the group. DNH has (had?) really solid mechanics and should be able to edge out the competition for second place.
Group F: beggar and N.geNuity This should be a rather straightforward group with beggar and ngenuity advancing.
Group G: Telecom and Mewka Both terrans are not and never were anywhere close to the two protoss in terms of skill.
Group H: DepressedOne and Artanis[Xp] Yet again another group with two players with max-rank far above the remaining two players. No surprises can be expected here.
Half the groups seem to lack any possibility for an upset. At least two more will only have any contest for second place... In conclusion: players in group D should feel shafted for where they ended up xD
edit: any T or P that wants to practice vP feel free to PM me on TL, preferably with skype acc.
I don't know if the time's and days changed or I completely read it wrong but I work every Saturday till midnight, so I may be either forced to play ALL of my games at an earlier date (On Tuesdays instead of Saturdays), or I will have to play after 12:00 PM EST on Saturdays. Once again I don't know if the times / days changed from Sundays or I read it wrong but I work every Saturday till 12:00 PM EST.
If my opponents would be ok with playing on Tuesday's or Saturdays after 12:00 PM EST then it will work, otherwise I'm not sure. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I swear I signed up only because I saw the gameplay days were on Sunday...
EDIT : Ok so I understand he hours were moved up an hour and I must have read it wrong once again sorry, I can also play really early on , on Sunday before you cast the games if that will be better. I don't work on Tues / Sunday only , that would work best for me. If opponents could let me know if this would work, that would be great.
TL;DR
I can play on Tuesday, Saturday (After 12:00 PM EST) , or early on Sunday before the casts if that's ok.
EDIT 2 : Let me know what works best for you Mewka.
Game times have always been set to Saturdays with the casting done the next day. The only change to the scheduled times was when I moved everything one hour later.

Mind if my group plays on Sunday? or maybe saturday night like 11 PM cst? 1/17 is the day I arrive back to states, like around 7pm, which I woldn't be able to play before since ill be on the plane.
When you reschedule your games is between you and your opponents.
I will not be making exceptions to these rules though. So basically, you can reschedule them to Sunday morning but you would need to submit your replays by Sunday, Jan 18 8:01pm GMT (GMT+00:00).

I can't play Sunday I'm gonna be gone for work 12:00-22:30 CET (gmt+1), so would not be back before submission deadline. Also already rearranged my work schedule so I could make default time :X

For everyone: There is no default channel, but for simplicity sake it might be best to meet in channel: Arcania (unless Arcania himself sets a different default channel) all ICC Names of players are listed in the Opening Post, you can check if your opponent is thus online on icc using /whois command and msg them as soon as they appear to play your game.
If they are not online and have not previously messaged you or requested anything else then the default rule should apply:
Walkovers may be claimed 20 minutes after the default scheduled game time.

Hey Fold, as I mentioned in thread I sadly have to work tomorrow, so I could only play if we play at this time. If you and LTY can arrange to play before that it would be ideal, I have no idea what you arranged with Soul.
Sunday, Jan 18 10:00am GMT (GMT+00:00)
I hope I parsed it correct but it should be 11am CET converted into your correct time.

That is what happens when you enforce such strict rules in a BW Foreign Tournaments I feel, I am at work now and can't play till late tonight, I hope Mewka will be on tonight. We still have some time theoretically I thought to play it before tomorrow.

Ro16 Preview I mentioned in the OP that the Ro16 grouping would be set up in a way so that each group features two players that went 2-0 and two other players that went 2-1 in their ro32 group. Here is a quick overview of how the groups will be set up:
There are five maps but only three will be used for each of the ro16 groups. Each player that advanced 2-0 in their ro32 group can veto one map from their ro16 group's map pool resulting in a set of three maps for their group. Random vetoes will be chosen for any of the players that do not select a veto.
I originally planned on all of the ro16 be Bo3 but I'm just going to keep it Bo1 like the ro32.
I will be casting the games from the Ro32 tomorrow and updating this thread + liquipedia with the results as soon as I can.

You and Mewka were both walked over.
Why? I thought you said we could submit replays before you casted them....
EDIT : Why do you just walk over players without talking to them first man...I was going to try and play Mewka tonight or early tomorrow before you cast the games...

At what time? There were three other people in your group. Two of them showed up on time to the ro32 clueless about where you and Mewka were or when you two may have wanted to reschedule the games. Things like this are why walkovers are allowed to be claimed. They wanted them, they got them.

I will say it was 45-50 minutes after the scheduled time before it was decided that walkovers would be given. I also asked about possibly playing games some time later on tonight or possibly very early tomorrow after you showed up but no interest was shown.

That's why people should communicate with all players in their group... This is not directed personally at you. It seems like there were quite a bunch of people that did not bothered to let everybody in their group know what their plans were, and even less so bothered to reschedule their games in an appropriate manner...

Why would you want to let the ro16 games be bo1? I'd assume that everybody in the ro16 is responsible enough to make the time for a bo3 or at least schedule their games in a manner that everything works out fine. After all, it's your decision. However, I haven't got the feeling that there is demand for such a change and I do not think that it is neccessary.
Hey guys, I was too busy having sex with a girl I met recently and missed my games. I was in a dark dry place and,.. well... I was saved. An angel saved me. My head wishes I played my games but my body has no regrets. Unfortunately my body only communicates via erections and I can't post a case for my body without getting banned from teamliquid.
But I missed my tourney game. I did try to play the day before since I wasn't sure if this would happen or not but I couldn't because my opponent didn't feel prepared. Am i OK?

We have a skype group set up for a few days already. Take a look in there. Make sure to be there tomorrow!!!
edit: BE THERE ON TIME. It's a reasonable enough time for you!
Rulzbooom, you're way too optimistic. We had people impatient enough to go play ladder games and or just straight up leave during bo1 groups. My original intention for ro16 was going to have 2 games, winner's losers, and tie breaker matches except everything would be bo3. This results in somewhere between 4-9 games for each player.
Group A took a really long time today with just Bo1 games. If entire groups were to be switched to Bo3 you could potentially have people sitting around waiting an hour for the rest of their group to finish their games. Take this example: TerranA vs TerranB ZergA vs TerranC
TerranA and TerranB play 3 games 30 minutes each. (1.5hrs game time). ZergA vs TerranC play just two 15-20 minute games (35min total average -> waiting for 55 minutes). Then you could possibly have another TvT bo3 and another TvZ bo3 where someone could again wait a long time.
I could change it to where groups are part bo3 and part bo1 (sonic did this after some really long group stages too). I could shorten to bo1 or maybe keep it bo3 and make ro16 a two week round but it seems clear to me that I definitely need to make a change of some kind.

I think regardless of the rules, whether they're lenient or strict, if the players don't want to make the effort to play and/or don't care enough, it won't ever be played. Looking back at past D-rank events, L_Master was very lenient with postponements and delays, but despite the rules, there were still a lot of games that weren't played, and eventually, I believe one individual league and teamleague never got a proper ending.
Topic of discussion is always pretty cool to talk about, but it seems like real life will always, of course inevitably, get in the way of designated times, piss players off, and walkovers will occur. Look at Alchemy League, even though there was money on the line meaning incentive to play well and actually show up, there were still significant amount of walkovers.
I posted SEVERAL Times saying I WOULD NOT be able to play at the given time because I HAD TO WORK. I love the chat logs haha....I specifically said "I WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY AFTER 12:00 PM EST , OR EARLY ON SUNDAY" It was never a "MYSTERY TIME" lol...man you are so un professional in those texts it is hilarious lol.....
I love how you just give my opponents walk over's when I specifically stated several times I wouldn't be able to play because THE HOUR WAS MOVED UP AN HOUR. If it wasn't moved up an hour I could have been able to play. But then you are going to let others complete there matches tomorrow? Pretty obvious that you just wanted to give my opponent walk over vs me. Did others post in the thread saying repeatedly they were not going to be able to make the specific time as much as I did? Oh ok thanks buddy.
Yeah "Oh Well" is right. I love how casual / non serious and unprofessional you act in your own tournament lol....Really a wonderful way to attract viewership to your tournament / users back to BW.

Come on man. You really think Arcania is out to get you? The reality is, your opponents are not obligated to reschedule with you if you can't make the scheduled time. It's more up to the members of the group to make rescheduling work than is it up to Arcania.
On January 18 2015 14:32 GGzerG wrote: Yeah "Oh Well" is right. I love how casual / non serious and unprofessional you act in your own tournament lol....Really a wonderful way to attract viewership to your tournament / users back to BW.
Not.
I'm playing WoW right now so I'll keep my reply very short. Players do not have to reschedule their games. If you are not there at the default time you may be walked over.
You were not there at the scheduled time. You got walked over. End of story.
Ultimately I already expected to be walked over since I noticed you changed the time from 2 to 3, how is that fair to the people who already signed up prior to the time change? Why on earth would you even want / care to rush the date of the tournament? Do you realize how few players there are in the BW Foreign Scene? That is what you are failing to realize.
The point is how unprofessional, childish, and bitter you are to post chat logs where you intentionally try to be cute with the things you say. Once again I do not care that I was walked over in your peanut gallery tournament, the point is the way you handle situations is childish, immature, unprofessional, and it is not going to attract viewers / new blood or old blood back to the scene, point blank. Good Luck with the rest of your Tourna.....errr wait I mean whatever you want to call this thing.
EDIT : The fact you would even post that link just really goes to show how seriously you are taking this.
Holy shit I am so glad GGzerG got walked-over hahaha. As long as I've played competitive games I've hated running or waiting around because of people who sign-up for tournies and think they run the shit. Be on time or face the potential that you might get left behind.
Thank you for organizing the tourney Arcania, it has been conducted in a professional manner where you are sticking to the rules exactly as they were presented in the OP, unfortunately some people lack reading comprehension or have other intellectual disabilities so they might take issue with the way you have run things, but as someone who likes rules to be followed through upon, excellent work!
Let's drop the telecom thing imo. ~.~ I'll post Ro16 information here and in PM's to players within the next 24 hours. I am also on the look out for potential casters. PM me if interested.

im going to walk-over marcy_Soul? as he doesn't answer my PM, which whoever loses between you and fold, just message me for a final game.
They're waiting for you on iccup right now. channel Arcania

Waited in the channel for an hour already. I'm going to go sleep so if I can't find you in the morning, maybe a coin flip to settle this? See what Arcania's response is.
It works great for me and nobody else in the chat seems to be complaining. It might be a problem on your end, or maybe twitch simply doesn't like your country X_X

Eh, there's already 15 walkovers in the group stages.
For the people that casted, try to highlight on your Twitch channel or upload onto Youtube so it can probably be entered into Liquipedia.

Yeah, whatever ^^ 2 off is still good. You had the most accurate prediction so far.
Nothing wrong with mass W.O. It just sorts out who is serious IMO. I think it is way better to have functional deadlines and a smooth tourney than get all the games in when people are flaky or have scheduling conflicts LIKE GETTING LAID RANDOMLY RATHER THAN PRACTICING AND THEN PROCEEDING TO GET FUCKING OWNED TWICE CUZ UR DICK GOT WET AFTER LIKE 2 MONTHS AND THIS HELPS YOU FEEL LESS LIKE THE NERD THAT YOU ARE BUT THEN YOU STILL LOST AFTER TRYING TO GET BACK IN SHAPE A BUNCH THE WEEK BEFORE SO YOU CAN PLAY ON FUCKING LA MANCHA AND ELECTRIC CIRCUIT SINCE ERBODY HATES FS EVEN THOUGH IT MAKES A VERY COMPLICATED GAME JUST A LITTLE BIT SIMPLER TO GRASP BUT THEN YOU STILL DON'T REALLY CARE CUZ UR IN A REALLY GOOD MOOD AND SHIT BUT YOU STILL DO KINDA CARE CUZ UR EPEEN DIMINISHED AT THE SAME RATE THAT YOU IRLPEEN GREW
Radley vs. Artanis Rad's got the rad beans. Artanis is gonna put up a fair fight too but some say he's out of practice. It's gonna be a close fight but in the end I think Radley's confidence in the non TvP matchup is going to cinch him the deal in the end.
DarknetHunter 4-0 FearTheQueen The first win wasn't enough to satisfy DNH, so he had to play fearthequeen three more times to quench his blood thirst.
Group B
DsT-Napoleon vs. Stardom[emg] It's hard to say because these two players are evenly matched. Stardom's star sense is gonna clutch the game out.
Splax vs. N.genuity Neither bothered to show up
Group C
ggrrgg vs. KivA A lot of people in past predictions predicted ggrrgg would not pass. Repeatedly, ggrrgg despite this has proven them wrong managing to win every time. I too, must follow this cycle and say Kiva is going to win.
upro)wraith vs. Pit667 It's gonna be a feeding frenzy...but for who?
Gorup D
Sero vs. Fold Fold isn't two fold. How can you fold a fold? It's Serologic. Nothing personal.
mca64 vs. DepressedOne Sipping on a nutritional drink, rather hypocritical of the DepressedOne to do, but it might give him the necessary vitamins and nutrients he needs to close out the win just barely. No bias here.
The best part about this is I think literally everyone has a hard group. I can't really say who would have the easiest time getting out of their group.

Really? I'd say group B looks like a free ticket to the next round for splax xD ngenuity should be able to secure second. On the other hand, group A looks quite unpredictable... And group D is simply a joke, yet again xD But I guess Sero and ty2 will advance.

Maybe I overlooked Splax but I think if the Terrans practice really hard in the next week they can get the job done considering circuit breaker can be pretty decent for TvP.
flyingjelly's predictions seem on point though. I think n.genuity will take 2nd over napoleon though.

Did you also believe that mimi111 would advance since TvZ is in the terran's favor? xD Splax losing a PvT in this group is nigh impossible. Him dropping out can only happen if he doesn't show up...

Really? I'd say group B looks like a free ticket to the next round for splax xD ngenuity should be able to secure second. On the other hand, group A looks quite unpredictable... And group D is simply a joke, yet again xD But I guess Sero and ty2 will advance.
Maybe I overlooked Splax but I think if the Terrans practice really hard in the next week they can get the job done considering circuit breaker can be pretty decent for TvP.
...
Did you also believe that mimi111 would advance since TvZ is in the terran's favor? xD Splax losing a PvT in this group is nigh impossible. Him dropping out can only happen if he doesn't show up...
It's not like TvP is unwinnable. With really good preparation and some luck C-/C players can win a Bo1 vs C+/B- players. It does happen from time to time.

Hey Kiva, I will be a bit late for our game today. I do not expect to be there more than 20 minutes late. If you do not want to wait around we can just set our game for 20 minutes after default time.
Couple updates: I'm not sure when I will be able to cast the Ro16 games because I'm extremely busy with school this semester. I will see about getting that stuff pushed back to tomorrow though. I haven't really gotten the replays from my e-mail yet either.
To the people that moved on to the Ro8: All eight of you have a map veto. One or two of you have told me your choice but the map order for the Ro8 will go like this with the vetoed maps removed from the list:
Circuit Breaker Electric Circuit Neo Jade Benzene Ground Zero Neo Aztec La Mancha
Replays: It appears I'm missing 3 replays from the ro16, 1 from group A and 2 from group B. I need the game between DNH and FlyingJelly as well as these games from group B: LightningStrike vs Napoleon <Losers Game> <Tie Breaker>
Please send them to arcaniastarleague@gmail.com
Bracket for Ro8 forward: The Ro8 through the finals will follow a bracket format. Here are the matches so you know who you should be playing: + Show Spoiler +

Yep. Should edit our posts for spoilers incase someone is actually doesn't want to be spoiled for this lolol Sorry about that. I had your replays but just thought you didn't make it out for some reason ;p
A zerg that rightfully is not very confident in his ZvT against the future winner of the tournament. The only question is if Serobot will gift Artanis a map.
After Arcania rejected Artanis' fair, sound, and completely selfless offer to switch places with Splax, the viewers will not be spared a bo5 of the "most exciting" matchup. The players' thoughts: + Show Spoiler +
This is probably the most evenly matched pair in the ro8. While both players are the two biggest underdogs of the remaining people to win the tournament, they both have shown a solid performance to reach this stage. Additionally, both have posted solid results in various TL leagues and tournaments have participated in. From personal experience I'd rate Napoleon's pvt as marginally better than gohan's. However, this is a Terran mirror and for reasons unknown to me Gohan has Flash-like TvT stats in TL leagues. With a 7-3 TL TvT record, I have learned to not doubt Gohan in this matchup and expect him to win even (by clinging onto wins even after putting himself behind every game)
I am absolutely certain that Radley is overjoyed to have the pleasure of playing his favorite matchup! But honestly, I can only assume that Fold is here to win, while Radley is here to get drunk and bitch about TvP...
Ah its the old game of cat and mouse. Is Radley actually not going to show up? was this
On January 31 2015 05:39 radley wrote: no, he is not, since i won't show up
just a bluff to induce Fold to not show up and then Radley himself take the walkover???! Or was it a double bluff intended to merely inconvenience Fold by having to wake up @ 4 AM to assure the walkover in a video game tournament??!!
I didn't read the message fold, since it's subject states literally "a", which gave me to information it was some fricking spam sent in order to make me feel even more abandoned and scared before match. I can play on Sunday 15 CET, as you stated, so that you feel rested more than me ( I usually sleep from 12-13 CET until 19-20 CET). Peace Americano!
Edit: which of course still doesn't meen that I'll show up to play versus some kind of monster protoss like you. It is usually better to sleep than being raped. Usually, because sometimes cool girl isn't so bad rapist. But you are not cool girl, are you?

Sorry that's my fault. See you at Sunday 15 CET.

Ro4 Map Order (Bo5) Circuit Breaker Benzene Electric Circuit La Mancha Neo Ground Zero Neo Jade Neo Aztec Two maps removed depending on map vetoes. All 4 players in the Ro4 have a map veto. PM me yours or include it when you submit the Ro8 replays please!
