Once again, YellOw's Kongdoo teams up with HungryAppTV to give us some Brood War action, but this time it is on a much larger scale than ever before. The Kongdoo Starz League, or KSL, will be a round of 16 invite-only league that'll kick off with a group selection ceremony on December 27th and feature a total prizepool of roughly $36 000. The offline league will be broadcasted live from HungryAppTV's studio.

I'm sure Sayle will be casting his fair share of events and I plan on filling in the holes. Hopefully I can get a CoCaster for 2015. Also, the rumor that Bisu is in this is epic.

No longer a rumor. Bisu confirmed it himself on his stream. Merry Christmas. Ho ho ho~

fuck yeah. can someone ask if he will be in SSL10 or lovetv league?
Looks like Bisu's checking out the HungryApp website and has been talking about the tournament for past half hour, including planning transportation to the venue

That's really great, thank you so much for doing it. Co-casters are nice but anything is fine. I've watched your BW stuff before, and while I prefer Sayle I enjoy your content as well.
I look forward to watching whatever you guys do live or in VoDs. Please make said VoDs available and easy to find somehow.
Funnily enough, you used the OSL that came straight after the match fixing scandal as an example.. that one was when BW faced turmoil, and this tournament is when BW is facing a rebirth, fitting!

You know, I was thinking maybe we can get clean feed from them
Then I realized how much of a hassle it can be, from their point of view. If there's any issues though, I can try to contact them (I think my former co-worker is producing over at HungryApp atm?)
i wish they would go crazy sometimes (maybe not terror level but getting towards FBH level) because fuck they're not bound by kespa anymore and it would add a lot of flair and character to the korean professional bw scene
^^Nice pictures, dapper outfits...like a Kpop boy band
On a related note, lemmata's translation of "full league" = round-robin makes the best-of-ones in the Round of 16 stage more pallatable, as opposed to single-elimination best-of-one... 4 groups x 4 players, so each participant plays 3 games to determine who advances

Zero: Let's skip all this bullshit and let me humiliate Bisu. Killer: We're here to play? Larva: I'll still have 2k viewers so suck it. hero: Lurker drop, muthafucka!
At little late on this, but I'd really like a Co-Caster who can do these events with me live. PM me if you are available. Casting begins on the third with the first matches. (Posting this in BW Gerneral as well.)

Yes Free. Two posts above!
Oh good! I watch his stream all the time and was kind of confused that some of those players were invited but not him. But that's good he's in it! I should read further into the threads.
BroodWar is happening, it's not a dream :D Just one note to check your opinion guys. I don't mind the graphics, I played BroodWar so.... but I have a lot of SC2 friends that don't like to watch BW games cause of the lower graphics. Would it be a good option thinking about one day playing it with Starcraft 2 BroodWar mod?

it's not the same. (SC2 engine can never replicate BW by design)
Hell, i would say that BW graphics are actually better since the graphics are clear and crisp if I take a quick glance at a terran's army, i can easily single out and identify every unit in that blob. I can't do that for sc2 (look at sc2 deathballs, dafuq is in there?)
Yeah, one thing I love about BW is that I get to watch from these afreeca thumbnails at work on my mobile. ^^
But rather than that I'd ask your friends give the game a few hours, just let them play and listen to the sounds. After a while I think anyone will appreciate the amazing music, sounds and even the graphics. I didn't know about BW before SC2 and it worked that way for me. There is nothing wrong with BW's graphics, it's all a matter of getting used to stuff. Once you spend a few hours watching the game it's not a problem. And missing out on the greatest RTS of all time because they're unwilling to put in the few hrs to get used to this? I think that's dumb. I suggest starting with the icy environment maps, there's not so much stuff to take in there and the units stick out better.

I really like the melodies but I can't stand the singing it sounds like they're screaming
I think its nice to see HKSL (confusing acronyms) and SSL making themselves unique with HKSL getting all classy + new maps and SSL going with sbenu-stuff and old school maps.

Spiffy picture of Kwanro posted on the official site to replace Terror:
Looks a bit off with the face/lighting, I wonder if it's a Photoshopped job seeing as Kwanro lives out of town and would've had to go in just for pictures
btw, does Twitch always record the stream videos...? or does it record only the past 24 hrs content? also, i can't find the button to the VODs on that channel on twitch, where do you find it?
