배추테레비 aka BeChuTerebi aka BCTV aka CabbageTV hosts a new league with some bold plans and now we're aware of it thanks to prech! We missed a few rounds but the best is yet to come.
Season 2 The second season is planned to kick off soon after!
Starting from the second season, the prizepool will shrink from $3000 to $2000 in a reflection to the the monstrous scale of the planned offline leagues. BC decided to rather keep his online league going on continuously to satisfy the cravings of the fans. The announcement will come later.
It is always exciting to see a new caster and this may just be the guy's premier on snipealot so tune in tomorrow to see what's up!!! For all we know it could be worse than the Headset Zerg and who would want to miss that? Anyway~

I wonder why Bisu isnt playing in any of these.
He has his reasons.
Bisu's too busy counting his balloons to compete...not to mention as rusty as an old nail If his fans cut off their donations, maybe Bisu will feel some urgency and feel the need to prove himself (i.e. SSL 10)
There will probably only be snipe vods for this (assuming someone wants to upload them). The guy has only one 21 hrs long afreeca vod titled groups a-d but there's just groups b+c prolly rebroadcasted and some random ums gameplay, dunno what's up with that.
I took a crack at creating a Liquidpedia entry for this tourney based on Endy and others' work on the 41 Starleague S2 page. For any folks interested, feel free to revise and update!

It appeared Air did not play at all, leaving only Hero, Pure, and Sea, but from the replays, it seems Sea only played one match (versus Hero), whereas Hero and Pure played each other twice. I couldn't understand anything spoken, but presumably Sea was 2-0 over Hero and walkover over Air? So Hero played Pure for his initial match, then again for the Finals Match?
It looks like LoveTV has posted some VOD replays of her commentating/cast the BCTV SL matches (her voice on top of the BCTV cast). I don't know which RO32 group VODs we may be missing, but maybe this will fill some of the missing gaps?
Hey guys, I casted Group F of the Ro 32. Thanks for the vids Dixon! I will do Group E in the near future. It appears to be missing a few games, but I'll do what you have! Since Ro 16 hasn't happened yet, I could still do another group after E if you guys have the vods.

Added groups E and F to Small VOD Thread 2.0. Included both Korean version and TheEnder's cast for group F. Will edit in english cast for group E too when TheEnder uploads it.
Yes, it should be $967.94 I got tired of writing these weird numbers. If you want it 100% correct in LP u can change it, it's like this in all the recent tourneys. To me it sounds like a prize tag in a shop and the difference is trivial.
Last game ZerO didn't even play bad. Ssak's macro was OUT of the world.
He kept knocking down Zerg's natural, waves after waves. I think the fatal mistake that costed ZerO the game was when he lost those 3 lurkers to mines at his 3rd.
Yeah, those 3 lurkers could definitely keep him in the game much longer. There was one downside to Ssak's godly macro, and that was that he was mined out in his main and natural pretty quick and was only mining from his third. If Zero managed to stay alive a bit longer, he could've won.
Thanks for the updates, Stratos. I was about to edit the LP page but noticed it looks like a format change... Now single elimination format rather than the RO32's dual tournament?
For example, do the winners of Match 1 now play Match 2? Or is BCTV going to mix it up again

Yeah it's been changed from ro32 format to just 2 bo5s and winner of each moves on. I changed that in OP and thought I posted that too but apparently I forgot, sorry..

wait, the groups on here and different the ones on LP. So, these are the ones to go with then? Too bad, some of the RO8 games would've been great to see

well, that's the thing. It's not even the schedule that I'm concerned with but the groups themselves. LP has different groups but I chalked that down to the way things were done there(if players from Group A and B win, they face each other though that's not what Cabbage had in mind). I mostly would like to confirm that the groups will be the same (same players playing against each other basically even if their dates change).
Yeah, group A may end up being called Group B or played after Group B, only the matchups are fixed.^^ most bjs dont title the groups before they have a schedule ready, i guess thats less confusing.

ok, perfect. That's what I was hoping for, thanks!

Well since season 2 is pretty much confirmed, mind as start adding the season 1 results to TLPD now right?

I'd love to see it included, but Epoxide may want to see more concrete details emerge... in case it disappears like the Mong league
It's too bad the prize money is shrinking, however, as this was one of the larger pots aside from Sonic/LoveTV. I wonder what the "planned offline leagues" are? Is Cabbage organizing more 1v1/team competitions? Or is he alluding to external contests like LoveTV -- if so, I don't quite understand the conflict as they're held by different organizers?
Looking forward to the semifinals -- and Bigfan's preview and predictions
I think he meant that since there are big offline leagues (SSL, LSL) coming but we still don't know when (and it's taking more time than it otherwise would have), he's rather going to do Season 2 asap with a smaller prizepool to fill in the gap. Personally I applaud that decision ^^

Interestingly, I don't think we got far enough into any of the games to see a Mech switch despite 9 TvZ games. Sea had some inspired drop play on Neo Electric Circuit. Really enjoyed PianO's small game tactics on Blue Storm and the players, in general, making some use of the map terrain. Too bad we didn't see much drop play from PianO, but perhaps hero didn't give him much a chance to

Thanks!
I really like how BCTV changed things up to put the match info (number of wins/player names and map locations) on the bottom of the map -- allows me to gauge how the players' economies are doing and gawk at those insanely high APMs

Meanwhile, PianO and Sea are both watching Shark cast Larva vs Mong xD

Great event, Killer was beastly And to think, HoGiL pushed him to the max 5 games, even more impressive, in retrospect. Hopefully BJ Cabbage announces Season 2 in the not too distant future, but maybe he'll have to wait for LoveTV to avoid conflicts
Too bad hero didn't say anything, I'm watching his FPVOD and it seems he types a few sentences at the very end...

Make sure you get a PianO FPV for game 5, PianO's reaction was priceless :D

I didn't get to see as much of this league as I would have liked but the series between Sea and Killer was so entertaining. Well worth watching again. Killer earned his 2k there alone in my book.

Well when Killer found out it's a ZvZ finals against hero, was there any doubt? :p
Playlist for 3rd place games and PianO FPV's. A friend joined me in the last couple of uploads (user name Arviel) so from now on we'll be posting under a new user name. Future uploads will be under redshuttle.
On a related note, it looks like Cabbage posted an update on season 2 about players, seeding and beginning play very soon (third week of October?). Hopefully Stratos can translate for us

Apparently, 8 players include: Killer hero PianO Sea sSak Larva Snow Mind
- they're the RO8 players from last season that will have a word in group seeding. I believe that each will form a group in the RO32 and they'll be picking players, starting with the winner of last season and taking turns in order - that's for top four. As for the four drop-outs of the RO8, their order will be randomly generated.
Mid-october he keeps sorting out details and third week october it should start.
Yep. He says he started streaming despite his close ppl telling him not and it became an addiction, and eventually reality started slipping from him. He was anxious even if he didn't stream for just a day etc. So even though he enjoyed all of the streaming he needs to take time to re-focus on his job and real life, where he's been dumping his work on his staff (I assume he's running his own small business, since he's self-employed and has staff). While the stream is off, he says he's taking time to make sure he can handle 'both of his lives', or 'catches both rabbits' as he calls it, Korean expression for "killing two birds with one stone". I was like wtf when I first read the rabbits part haha. So anyway, probably/hopefully not the end of his streams altogether, but no mention of starleague, so I assume he'll only be broadcasting sporadically in the near future.

Oh well, spilled milk. We'll still have SSL and LSL to build hype in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the translation
That's too bad, decision seemed awfully sudden
Cabbage did seem to be streaming very heavily with those 10+ hour marathon sessions, just playing team Hunters games. Hopefully just a break from streaming, with future tournaments to come... Who knows, maybe refocusing on his business will enable that to flourish and we'll have a second coming of Sonic

ah sad news I agree though. It's better that he holds off on it for now and streams when he has everything in order imo.
He's still active on his afreeca board. 41 told him he'll miss him and BC replied it won't be long till we see him again and that he'll come on occasionally to play.. I don't think we'll see a second season. At least not in 2014.
