My prediction: Boxer = Reach Set2 Usan nation SKT1: I am pretty certain that they will send out Rumble(Z) and Canata(T) for this map. SKT1 always has and for the record, Rumble and Canata does have convincing stats in this map. We can see their strength in their last game vs Samsung KHAN. They pulled an one way victory tying the series. 90% sure it will be Rumble/Canata for SKT1. KTF: For KTF, there is a choice to make. We've seen Chojja(Z)/Marine(T), Chojja(Z)/GoodFriend(T) and Reach(P)/Yellow(Z) in Usan Nation. However, I'm leaning more toward Chojja/Goodfriend combination. First, they pulled off an amazing win over G.O. in the deciding game 6. Further more, Chojja/Marine lost at their last encounter with SKT1, GoRush(Z)/Midas(T). Unless Reach/Yellow comes up with a killer strategy, the best bet is on Chojja/GoodFriend. Chojja/GF = 65%, Chojja/Marine = 25%, Reach/Yellow = 10% My Prediction: Rumble/Canata < Chojja/GF SKT1 is more known for their 1v1s while KTF is more known for 2v2s. SKT1 will concentrate more on 1v1s. Likewise, KTF will put their full effort on 2v2s. Because of this reason, I will give KTF slightly higher chance taking the win. Im having fun predicting, lol... | ||

Considering recent results, SKT1 is without a doubt ahead of KTF. SKT1 held a victory in the first Proleague 2005 Finals against none other than KTF. Not only that, SKT1 defeated SamSung KHAN in the later Proleague 2005 earning themselves two titles within a year. SKT1 does not show any sign of laziness/lack of tense(?). They play their best regardless of their opponents. SKT1 did not participate in any of the Invite Tournaments nor the Evaluation Events. This can only show their dedication to win the Grand Finals. KTF can be compared to Real Madrid Club of Football. KTF's member roster stands out among the teams, yet they lack in cohesion, resulting in inconsistent results. They have created a new astounding record of 23 wins throughout the leagues; however, they have disappointing losses such as their impotent 0-4 defeat against SamSung KHAN. These two teams are 8 - 3 against one another, KTF leading the stats. Even with such monsterous stats, SKT1 currently presents a better atmosphere. Kingdom's PvT sucks ass. But Requiem is a PvT map, and Kingdom is 7-1 on this map in Proleague. Sync on the other hand isn't exactly the greatest player either. I'll give the edge to SKT1 in this match. Then Reach&Yellow is going to own up Iron Curtain. Midas/Mumyung chances here are slim on a map that favors a pz combo, let alone vs the best pz combo in the world. The chances of Reach&Yellow winning here is definitely greater than the chances of Kingdom beating Sync. Then the final game with Nal_rA is going to be in KTF's favor. Nal_rA + Final game = unbeatable combo. So at this point, KTF looks good on track to win the big one. | ||

someone explained it to me yesterday...it's because of the location and the signal receiving....it does not work on every continent/in every country the same...it can be without buffering in germany but buffering every 2 cesc in austria, like it is for me ... but some streams work better than others...i'm going through every SC-stream.....yesterday i found a decent one...today still searching... | ||

Good effort by KTF. Sadly this didn't go to the 7th game. First stupid mistake is putting out pz on Usan Nation. How many times does tz needs to beat pz on this map to make it clear that pz on Usan Nation sucks? Usan Nation is completely not a pz map regardless of any starting locations unlike Iron Curtain. IIRC, a pz combo has never beaten a tz combo combo in the entire Proleague season. There's no reason to put pz out on this map facing a tz SKT1 team. Strange how the coach didn't let Yellow&Reach play on Luna. Still Chojja&GF ended up winning anyway. But what pisses me off is KTF putting Sync out for 1v1 on a terrible TvP map like Requiem when they just know 99% that Kingdom is going to play on it. Reach would have been the best choice here. He beat Chojja 2-0 on this map last time, so he could handle any SKT1 zerg here. PvP wise, Reach > everyone else. He has beaten Kingdom at least 2-0 in their recent meetings, so he'd have been safe against any SKT1 P. PvT wise, it's Requiem, a PvT map, and Reach can handle any T on this map. Putting out Sync on this map is purely a bad bad bad bad idea. The only matchup Sync would have a greater than 50% chance of winning on Requiem is vs some subpar Zerg. And since SKT1 has Gorush, putting out Sync on this map means KTF has a less than 50% chance to win regardless of what MU he gets. Knowing Kingdom always play for SKT1 on Neo Requiem, and that this map is a terrible TvP map, putting out Sync for this game just shows a lack of common sense by the KTF coach. Game 6 was also really bad luck for Yellow&Reach to have started on the same side. pz > tz when players of a team start on different sides. pz < tz when they start on the same side. This is the reason why Iron Curtain favors pz over tz - there's a 33% chance of players starting on the same side, 66% of players starting on different sides. Unfortunately KTF fell into the 33%. IF Yellow&Reach started on different sides in game 6 (66% chance), I think KTF would have taken this final with Nal_rA as ace. | ||

The main thing though is that Reach would have been a WORLD of a better choice than Sync to play on Requiem. I would give Reach a greater-than-50% chance to win regardless of what MU he gets (with vs gorush perhaps right at 50%; remember he did beat Gorush the last time they played on Requiem. The PvZ record on this map is right at 44-44). I personally would never even put Sync in 1v1 games at all. But if the coach just has to put Sync to play in 1v1, Requiem was absolutely the worst decision possible as the map to let him play on. | ||

Boxer's 1 fac cc with no add on build was terrible considering the enormous risk it has against any build -_- Chojja vs Oov was a nice game, Chojja had a nice game plan and seemed to have the advantage early game but lost out to Oov's cheater timing attacks. Sync on Requiem was unlucky, I think they were expecting Boxer or Gorush. I was disappointed with the quality of the teamplay games, the strats they tried to pull off failed, even Rainbow's reavers backfired big time. Ah well, finally it's over, let's start again soon! | ||

They practice with each other like 9 hours a day and are in daily communication with each other. I think they know their team and abilities better than you do and have reasons to put certain players in certain games. In Starcraft anything can happen. KTF lost based off of decisions made nano-seconds apart IN the matches WHILE they were played, not because of statistics, past matchups, or internet debates. | ||

Even if Gorush is somehow magically picked (who, IIRC, hasn't played a 1v1 for SKT1 since ages, maybe his last 1v1 Proleague game was when he lost to Nal_rA), Reach still has decent chances considering: 1. He destroyed Gorush on this same map the last time they played (wasn't even a close game, I mean, Reach just destroyed Gorush 1 sidedly in a game that Gorush never had any advantage) 2. Neo Requiem is a good PvZ map. PvZ stats on this map is 44-44, with most of P's losses coming from early introduction of the map when it was known as just the original Requiem (which WAS a bad PvZ map). Recent PvZ's mostly seem to have been in P's favor. Also, for all we know, Sync could have told the team coach that he would be confident in facing either Kingdom or GoRush on Requiem... This is hardly believable, but I would even dare to believe it if Sync lose to Kingdom after putting up a hard fought back-and-forth struggle in a game that could have gone either way at one point. If you watch the game, there is just absolutely no way Sync had any chance the whole game. Kingdom raped him handily. Sync never even got his army out of his base for more than 10 seconds. How could someone be that confident on this map perform this horribly in the game? It's mostly just not practical. | ||

Perhaps the SKT1 manager bribed the KTF manager to use Sync in the series hahahahaha The only explanation that makes best sense so far, although perhaps also the most unbelievable. But really, the only bad, washed up old school players on the KTF team are Sync and TheMarine (one of which has not participated since the addition of GF). KTF's best players can go neck-and-neck with SKT1's best players or any other players of any other team. KTF doesn't need new players. They just need a new coach. | ||

So if this guy isn`t fired within next 30 min there is only one possibility : SKT bribed the fuckhead , and he pays KTF for being a manager... No other options... btw KTF sucked 2day... If they were what I expected them 2 B they would have raped SKT even with those MU(especially considering how finished was chojja-oov game and how miseriable(?) was reach-yellow performance...) One more thing... I feel sorry 4 GF... Hope he does have a realease clause in his contract, cause even a Plus member can win OSL , but KTF members R destined 2 B "way better , but a bit unlucky"... So what was that about... Any1 knows where do I send my application 4 KTF manager job ??? | ||

I don't think there is any huge gap in skill. The 2v2s throughout were really lucky for one team, the other suffering from a completely failed reaver, and getting the same side with a T for SKT on the last map (I forgot the name) since it pretty much secures the late game with tanks. I think that if any is the map to use queens on. Oh well. The 1v1s, Kingdom annihilated Sync and was playing it safe for so long, it wasn't very fun to watch. He just dismantled him on requiem without batting an eye Chojja/oov was probably the best match even though I had this ominous feeling that chojja would not win, even though I'm a chojja fan. I don't think there is a massive disparity in skill, but I think KTF would benefit greatly from new coaching. I just see SKT having way more fun out there. I don't really know any of this for a fact but it seems like SKT just creates a way more productive and fun atmosphere for their players than the KTF crew do. | ||
