That was amazing, I could not hold my tears when I saw Kim, damn, who would have known) I really really can't comprehend how can a game make such things to people. Ahh, thank you, thank you everyone

On the real though, if Jangbi beats Flash in a similar manner to the way he beat Zero, I'll be just as happy as I would be if Flash were to win (and be the only player in BW history to win 7 titles).

One of them have 3 Million viewers while the other had 7. That makes 10 million. On July 11 2012 06:37 sheaRZerg wrote: Wait...blizzard did what? I very rarely watch BW anymore, but this was epic. Happy for Jangbi to advance to the finals, hopefully he'll meet FlaSh.

Was glad game 5 finally happened so there was at least one longer macro-based game. Wish Zero had gone ultras though. Just because lurkers are imba invisible on that map doesn't mean you have to stay with them until the end!

Just because lurkers are imba invisible on that map doesn't mean you have to stay with them until the end! Honestly ZerO should have just went Hydra/Mutalisk. JB's composition was Archon/Goon/HTs. Hydralisk can't easily take care of the Archon/Goon part with Mutalisk snipping the HTs. OR he should have went ALL the way with the Queens for Spawn Broodling on those High Templars. But I mainly think that he should have brought Defilers with him at numerous occasions where he was attacking JB's left upper corner bases and of course an Overlord would have helped greatly to fend off against those two DTs. I don't fault him though. There was actions occuring all over the map. Shuttles flying everything, Protoss deathball roaming around and to keep macroing off from god knows how plenty of Hatches were they. But mainly because of him being emotionally drained from the previous game. JangBi remained in his equanimity form throughout the entire series even when he was losing, his psychological edge was always in check while ZerO looked fucking depressed. And oh man crowd today was wild! From all my days watching Brood War, the only audience that ever came close to those cheers are the ones in the finals. I honestly didn't expect this to take place. Now its time to find some good stuff for Fantasy vs Flash in which I hope that none of them decide to play a 20 minutes no rush game.

I regret not waking up early to watch it live. SOoooo much. That has got to be one of the greatest PvZ series of all time, and the last BW PvZ series ever. GG. Zero played amazing, but so did Jangbi. And that goes to show you why 3-1 is the Jaedong score, not the Zero score. f*cking brilliant. This series embodies PvZ.

Did you say that about Jangbi a year ago, when he was knocked out of the Khan lineup, managed to lose to rookies, and only got a second place finish and some decent rankings in them in the past? If you say that about ZerO, you have to say it about Jangbi, Stork and fantasy. ZerO deserves better than this. He's just unlucky that he didn't have enough time for it to happen. I find it sad. Jangbi had a 62% win rate before his massive slump. ZerO's career win rate is 54.7%. Zero has always been really good but never great. He's had a ton of opportunities, too. I feel worse for players like Stats and Bogus, upcoming A-class players who are as good as Zero has ever been but who will never get the same opportunity for gold. It's only heartbreaking because Zero was who we thought he was. This is his best matchup! He had large advantages in consecutive games with chances to make it to the Finals and he failed. And need I remind you the one time he did make it to the Finals he was walked over by Flash. Most of the time you have to beat a great player to win gold. I would much rather see a ZerO with the opportunity to overcome his demons yet failing rather than a Clam or a Hydra, an equally skilled player fluking his way to a title. Maybe you have something against Jangbi but you're certainly skirting the facts. Jangbi wasn't the first A-class player to be demoted. Winning over 60 percent of your games for three years is an incredible feat and a lot of leeway should be granted to such obvious skill. A 60 percent win-rate is S-class. On July 10 2012 21:58 Lightwip wrote: Great game, but I'm getting a bit annoyed with all the "you don't get that from SC2" posts. No need to draw the comparison. Agreed. It reeks of insecurity. All good things must come to an end. I love Brood War and I am sad it is ending, but the circumstances are conspiring to make the games unique. It has to end some time. Move on with grace. On July 10 2012 22:04 konadora wrote: tbh jangbi was close to trash before his sudden rise in form again Not entirely. Is hoejja trash? Jangbi was sporting ~45% win rate for his approximately two-year slump. That's mediocre, but still only slightly worse than average for a Korean progamer. -- I wish people wouldn't go overboard with the "Zero is the best player not to win a title." There are a lot of very good players who have never won a title. Zero is one of the better ones, but players like Sea or Best, or even Zero's teammates Light and Neo.G_SoulKey, are just as sad.

I am so sad BW is coming to an end. Beautiful memories and I basically grew up watching the players mature as well. Very bitter sweet OSL for many of us.
