Hope you're having lots of fun with SC2, JD. It's not practicing SC2 that's the problem. Hyvaa is probably practicing SC2 as well. Team 8 is just in dire straits. You could argue that Team 8 has the most to gain from doing well in SC2, given that they still need a sponsor. I have no doubt JD is focusing most of his attention to SC2 these days. According to the Coaches interview about SC2, STX has been practicing hardcore for SC2 for a while (the coach disputes the claim, the others insist). So we can't blame EVERYTHING on SC2. Yup, STX engaged a former SC2 player as their coach last year. So they've been preparing for a long time now.

Well, I'm out. I honestly have no emotional investment in either hyvaa or RorO, and I don't like ZvZ if I have no emotional investment in the match.
Jaedong's Ling micro was pretty awesome, and he did a noble job attempting to claw his way back from a BO disadvantage.

JD had all the freedom in the world to take his nat, with absolutely no danger of losing it (or even needing sunkens/spores). He was just being stubborn, as JD tends to be often. He also could have easily been 0-1 by then on the upgrades, which given the even muta supply would have meant him wiping the floor with hyvaa, but I guess he never bothered to start the upgrades. I can't explain that loss, JD dropped the ball. He had no advantage. hyvaa had better econ, more lings, and better def for mutas do do any damage. If only Jaedong risked some drones, he would have had a bertter muta count. And that final engagement was really bad.

He had to be careful, he didnt know where the lings are, and commiting to hatch will make hyvaa attack. It was all good until that engagement. He should have known better that hyvaa had more because he was in 2 bases for a time.
Hyvaa didn't have his natural's gas.
So nope.

well im out, not gonna botter with the last game

0-2... Poor Jaedong, to miss out on the last OSL (perhaps, we can always hope) is a tragedy.
|
You can't blame Jaedong on that loss, it was a BO deficit that requires both amazing play and the opponent to make big mistakes. The first loss was inexcusable though.

Nope. not gonna stay up for this garbage. Bye everyone. Cold beer is waiting for me.

I wish they had that repeat of Zero vs Calm series where 9p beat 12p twice. Wacky ZvZs. too bad it didn't happen.

I like Sea because of his wins vs Nal_ra and his marine medic use vs Boxer in TvT. You might as well call yourself a troll rather than rationalize it.

He had plenty of chances to win afterwards.

they should just 4pool each other now

I feel like JD is the type and will be taking this elimination really hard on himself. This can't be good for him at all

edit: I'm not rationalising anything, either. I said my posting is a campaign against overrated players and that's what it is. The players are overrated because they have innumerous and rabid fanboys, so of course posting things they don't like is going to come across as trolling. But if I was trolling, truly trying to rile things up, I would've gone back and quoted my thing about JD's last game being the realisation he was being outmicroed by Hyvaa, which happened in their muta fight.
Instead, I talked about how JD earned some respect from me with his manly play taking on a 12pool with 9pool (or overpool, whatever it was), and that I was rooting for him.
