i want to say that flash didn't play up to his standards by neglecting certain units, BUT now i realize that it didn't really matter. he had the game in his pocket from the beginning and just because he didn't play 'flashy' (no pun intended), he still played awesome.
I missed his loss, but i dont think he showed really any weaknesses.
I must admit I was nervous for a minute, but I knew he was ahead at the same time. I think Leta could have done a bit more with the mass of vultures he had at one point when flash did not have too much, but thats what this game is all about.

leta's attack on flash's 3rd was pretty awful and came too late, he sacced 3 tanks and like 8 vults to kill those SCVs and came out way behind

The only instance where he neglected units was not controlling his wraith / valk when leta did 3 dropship drops into his main, but he was already pulling ground units back at that time so you can't really fault him.

Almost all of Flash's army was at his 3rd. He had maybe 1-2 tank against like 8 vultures. Ramp was unblocked. The only reason Flash won so easily is because he took an uncontested 3rd.

i think this "control of the game" thing is really just kind of interpretive. was flash in control of the game because he proxied or was leta in control because he found it? was leta in control because he went 4fac or was flash in control because he adequately countered it? was flash in control because he made a 3rd or was leta in control because he attacked it? was leta in control because he dropped flash's base or was flash in control because he had a quick response?

I don't think we were watching the same game. Early on, Leta was on the attack - threatening the third, dropping the main, dominating the middle. Flash worked back to advantage by working around the middle (eventually) + unscouted wraith switch. Flash did stay ahead on econ/supply, but there wasn't any point where that made a significant difference since Leta had the more defensible position. The wraiths were about 80% of the reason Leta lost that one.

the first thing i think is that goliaths are very strong against vultures, the other is that i think leta may have had fewer vultures than it looked like he did. i thought it only looked like 8 or 10 vultures for leta to 2 golis 2 vultures for flash, pulling scvs he probably would have survived and leta would have had a significant unit disadvantage there. he may have just missed the opportunity too, i'll admit i was a little surprised at how quickly he pulled back too

Flash totally dissected every position leta had on the map in convincing fashion.
I don't see what action hopes to accomplish here. He can't fight in open air, and effort is on basically same eco. Effort however, will be getting a second gas shortly.
Action targets one scourge with two scourge after camping. Five lings attacks the 3 base and initiates a fight, Action mutalisks are forced to withdraw, and hatchery is killed. Effort nat is up so Effort with decisive advantage and bunch of lings are running around everywhere preventing Action from trying hidden expo again
For players to actually get the match up of their choice on the map of their choice vs the opponent of their choice is extremely unlikely. You have all of that information in practice. Action just isn't a very adaptive player from what I've seen, probably the reason why he does so badly in proleague.

i believe it's because he is mainly good against terran. As of late he isn't good against anything, so it might be as simple as that

ZvZ is way, way better. I feel like there's less build order wins(and nothing as hard as DTs vs gateway pushes), more weird situations, and more action in general.

I just think zvz is one of the more volatile matchups relying a lot on BOs... pvp does too, but I think as long as it's not cheese, it's not as fatal as zvz's are~
PirateTerran, MustacheTerran, MyTeamNeedsMeToWinTerran have been seen signing contracts with KT's head coach. Rumours suggest that Flash will no longer be played every match, even if it goes to a 5set.
CJ wins in their usual competent but boring way, exploiting the other team's failing windows rather than showing inspired play of their own. But hey, when it works, it works. And I can't fault Horang2 for being so damn good at his one thing.
Oh well, at least Flash finally broke his losing streak.

IIRC it was really just one person saying that. Either way, it's pretty stupid, Nanashin has been streaming PL and individuals for a long time. A lot of that time, he's the only streamer.

Exactly, its fine to trash talk flash and re-post flash loss games in the stream, that gets applauded. Just putting up imgs over Bisu's face after the game is over is apparently so insulting that the complaints were longer than the posts about the game(s).

But the insults are aimed at the KT fan base for no real reason, I hardly even see a KT fan complaining that they lost or saying that CJ didn't play well (i.e. not deserve the win)? I'm confused.. Why did Leta, seeing Flash cancel his barracks decide to check 1 anyways? Shouldn't he have guessed, since Flash cancelled it, that it was pretty far from his main? And then he would have seen the no racks CC, which would have allowed for early aggression.

But Dear couldn't have possibly predicted that Flash would cancel his turrets when he saw the pylon wall at his third, that's something only someone as ballsy as flash would do just to squeeze out any possible advantage they could get. But at the end of the day Dear executed his well prepared snipe strategy well and he did outplay flash in this game.
As much as I am a personal fan of flash, there shouldn't exist someone who's 100% dominant in a competitive scene; especially in a game like starcraft, if there was an perfect strategy or build order where the only barrier was execution (apm, macro, micro, scouting, etc) and the only counter was executing the strategy better, then the game would grow stale and be boring to watch to everyone except statistic analysts and video-game programmers.
The fact that there is this much community attention in flash just losing one game is already proof that he is a great player (perhaps one of the greatest of all time and definitely the best right now), and we should be happy that he is making other players push themselves to find inventive strategies (dear did 1 gate expand -> robo -> obs /shuttle -> shuttle speed / 1 reaver + 2 lot drop while hiding his tech, the reaver, the shuttle, as well as shuttle speed from flash who is known to have very good scans, then followed it up with a bull dog break with 2 shuttles before flash's third was up and flash's macro could kick in) and making the BW scene much more competitive and enjoyable to watch. As we can see from the post-game audience reaction and interview, Dear was ecstatic and more motivated than ever to be a great progamer as a rookie (which is exactly what we need to keep the BW pro-scene active), and flash was contemplative but not negatively effected by the loss - he's still going to keep winning, refining his strategy, and learn from his mistake. Results like this we should be happy to see and GOOD FOR ESPORTS, rather than fighting among each other and segregating the community.

Why is anyone attempting to promote segregation and anger between segments of the community when events like this are only good for esports? It was an interesting build and an interesting game. He's probably one of the players who takes his work the most seriously too, people joke about fantasy GG timings but that man takes his job and his failures very seriously. Being under the shadow of Flash while having legendary SKT terran coaching must be extremely difficult. Definitely my favorite SKT player and one of my favorite players in general. And I would say he's underappreciated but only because he's mirrored with Flash all the time.

Personally, I feel attracted to both of the former reasons and the fact that he is the most successful Toss statistically, as well as the fact that he embodies (along with Reach and others) the counter-example to the pizzafaced goggled nerd stereotype in the scene.

Fantasy fan represent! First and foremost a fan of Fantasy, the latest in the esteemed SK telecom T1 terran line. Other homegrown talent is welcome too, like Best and Rain. Bisu's a great protoss and it's nice when he wins for SKT, but he ain't my favorite. + Show Spoiler +
If you're going to say that a certain player wasn't "homegrown" by SKT, it's not just about which team drafted someone, but on which team the player emerged in televised competition. Going by the 'drafted' criteria would even leave a certain famous terran "belonging" to WeMade.

In your description, you stated that flash fan actually cares about what other people think about him or paint the picture that I have a reason to actually give a damn about what other people think . What I do care, when I watch a game that is base on the factor that it must be 1)Entertaining 2) long macro game 3) Intense combat on every corner on the map . Flash full fills this criteria and to me that's already enough for me to be a fan of him .
